Code-Entry (Manual) TV Programming using your
SRcssfl keypad:
1 Turn on yourTv
2. [n this order, press and hold the [SELECT] button,
then the [MUTE] button. Hold M buttons down
together until the [LED] button illuminates
Release both buttons as soon as the [LED]button
illuminates
3. a Locate thethrsedigitcodeioryour brand in
the Tv Setup Code list (Section 11) and enter
it on the keypad ol the remote control Entry oi
the correct code Wiii cause your Tv to turn oil
it multiple codes are listed ior your brand, you
may have to enter several diiierent oodes until
yourTV turns oir
b As soon as you have entered athreerdlglt
code that turns yourTv all, press [MUTE]
1 lithe Tvturns back on, press [SELECT] to
lock in the code. The [LED] button Will
blink threertimes and go out

2 ii the Tv does not turn back on, entera
diilerent threerdiglt setup code until your
TV turns back on Then press SELECT]
to lock in the code The[LED]button Will

Point and lPress‘9 (Auto-Sean) Tv Programming
using yourSRC-J50 keypad-
This method allows you to program your remote
control without codes using the[A] or[v] buttons
("Power‘ function during programming) For more
iniormation on this method as well as other buttons
you can program your remote With, see Section 9
1. Turn on yourTv
2 In this order, press and hold the [SELECT] button,
then the [MuTE] button. hold m buttons down
together until the [LED] button illuminates
Release both buttons as soon as the[LED] button
illuminates

Your SRCrZSU remote control is simple to program,
easy to use and can operate trvo (2) devices, which
include
. ResidentialGatewaystRG]
. Televisions
The SRO-350 remote control allows access to the
leatures available in your Residential Gateway by
using an [R (inirared) and UHF [ultra high irequency)
signal, depending on how it is programmed When
the smear) is set to operate in [R mode, you must
point it directly at your Residential Gateway in order to
operate it When the SRCrJSD is set to operate in
UHF mode. it can operate your Residential Gateway
trom anywhere in your home.
Beiore you Can use your SRO-350, it must be
programmed (setup) to operate your Residential
Gateway and Tv. Piogiammng your remote control
is simple ioiioWing the steps outlined in this manual.
Before Getting Started
Some or the special ieatures and buttons on your
SRCrSSD remote control are as ioiiows
Point and Press® Programming
Lets you program your Tv Without codes. For more
information, see Sections"! and 9

code The [LED] button will blink three-times
and go out

b. Does not turn back on, pressthe[v]button

Each time you press the [v] button, the [LED]
button Will blink and remain illuminated
Once you have lound a code that turns the
device on/ofi, press [SELECT] to lock in this
code The [LED] button Wlll blink threertlmes
and go out
Note: Given the size oi the TVSetllp Code library in
your remote control, it will take several minutes to
cycle through all the codes when using the Point and
Press Programming method
Tv code Number Readback
To identity the threerdlgll Tv Setup Code stored
under the Point and Press” programming method,
loiiow these steps using the remote control keypad
1 In this order, press and hold the [SELECT] button,
then the [MUTE] button Hold m buttons down
together until the [LED] button illuminates
Release both buttons as soon as the[LED] button
illuminates
2. Press [iNFO], then [C]. The[LED]button Will
“blink back“ the code numbers, With a tsecond
interval between each digit oithe code Please
note that iorthe numeric [u], the [LED] button Will
blink in rastrsequence
Example For Tv Setup Code “130', the remote
Will blink 1 time. then 3 times, then in a last
seouencelortheo
J lnstaliin I Re.iacin. Batteries
install two [2] new ‘AA“ batteries as indicated by the
diagram in the battery compartment
When the batteries become low and need to be
replaced the [LED] button Will not illuminate normally
orat all during use
When this happens, replace the existing batteries With
two (2) new “AA" batteries to restore normal operation
to the remote control
4. Sehiri the Rerriote CoritrolOe-ratin Mode
The SRCeaso remote control operates older as well
as newer Residential Gateway models. To allow ior
this, the remote can be set to operate in either Gm;
200 Compatibility Mode (to operate like the older
remote control) or SRCr350 Native Mode The
deiault Operating Mode is SRG2DD Compatibility
Mode
programming the Remote Control Operating Mode
using your SRCJEG keypad:
t in this order, press and hold the [SELECT] button,
then the [MUTE] button Hold M buttons down
together until the [LED] button illuminates
Release both buttons as soon as thelLED] button
illuminates
2 Press and release the [D] key The [LED]button
temporarily turns on Releasing the key causes
the [LED] button to light up again. you can now
set the correct Operating Mode
3 Press [0] to select SRC-2oo Compatibility itlodeor
[t] to selectsRCessp Native Mode The[LED]
button will blink threertimes and go out. The new
Operating Mode is stored in the device
importantl Changing the Operating Mode irom [o] to
[i] Will reset the Gateway [D within the smear] back
to [000]
Once changes have been made, the remote control
resumes normal operation. ii the value entered was
not valid (5 keypress other than [u] or [t]] the [LED]
button indicates the error by turning all immediately,
9 Additional Programming information
1 The [LED]button ' uminate while theremote is

2 The Point and PresS® (Auto-Scan] Programming
method allows you to program your remote control
withoutusing codes instead, the remote control
automatically iinds the correct Tv setup code
using certain buttons / commands that you select
Once you have lound a setup codes that operates
your Tv, you then lock it in
3 When using the Point and Press® Programming
Method, there are several important points to
remember“
0 There may be several codes that turn yourTv
on ioii (or pertorm otheriunctions)
. it may take several minutes ior the remote to
find the correct code that turns your TV oni
cill‘ [or periorms another selected lunction)
During this time, the [LED] button Will
Illuminate
4 When programming the remote control using the
[A] or [v] buttons [Power lunctlorl) under the
Point and Press“ Programming method, you may
find a code that turns yourTV all but not back on
lithis happens.
. The correct Tv code has not been iound as
you may you may have a code that operates
some but not all oi the lunctions oi your TV
Continue pressing [A] until your TV turns
back on
OR
0 you may have gone past the correct matching
code Try pressing [v] m press at a time
until you find a code that turns your Tv back
on
and the remote returns to normal operation All
values in the device remain unchanged
LED Playback or the Remote control Operating
Mode.-
1 [n this order, press and hold the [SELECT] button,

“blink back" the Remote Control Operating Mode
Please note that for the numeric [o], the [LED]
button Will blink in lastsequence
Setting The Gateway ID
The Gateway iD allows your remote to talk to your
Residential Gateway The Gateway lD that Is
programmed into the Residential Gateway must also
be programmed into your remote The Gateway iD
programming mode allows you to set the Gateway [D
in the remote To change the Gateway [D in the
Residential Gateway the procedure is the same but
the remote must be pointed at the Residential
Gateway The Gateway iD must be the same in all
remotes
Note Reier to your Residential Gateway user
Guide ior instructions on determining the Gateway [D
in your Residential Gateway.
Programming the Gateway ID using your SRC-350
keypad:
1 [n this order, press and hold the [SELECT] button,
then the [MUTE] button Hold both buttons down
together until the [LED] button illuminates.
Release both buttons as soon as the [LED] button
illuminates
2 Pressandreieasethe[B]key The[LED]button
tem porariiy turns oil Releasing the key causes
the [LED] button to light up again you can noW
set the conect Gateway ID
3 Enter the threerdigit code assigned to your RG

Examples of valid values are: one, 012. 354, or

button will go off and the remote control Will return
to normal operation. Repeat the steps above to
try again

2 Press [iNFC], then [B] The [LED] button Will
‘blink back' the Remote Control Gateway iD
Please note that torths numeric [0], the [LED]

Programming the Remote Control ID using your
SRt—m keypad.
1. In this order, press and hold the [SELECT] button,
then the [MUTE] button hold w buttons down
together until the [LED] button illuminates.
Release both buttons as soon as the[LED] button
illuminates
2 Press and release the [A] key The [LED] button
temporarily turns oii. Releasing the key causes
the [LED] button to light up again you can now
set the correct Remote Control [D
3 Enterthe singlerdigit Remote Control [D from the
table above. The [LED] button Will blink three
times and go out The new Remote Control [D is
stored in the device
Note Valid singlerdigit codes are a, i. 2, or 3 ll you
entered an invalid sequence or a 305econd lapse
between button presses occurs, the [LED] button Will
turn on and the remote control Will return to normal
operation

7 Programming Vour Tv
your Network Service Provider programs your remote
control to work With your Tv by way oi a Tv Setup
Code. The Tv Setup Code is a specific code for each
brand and model Ol‘ TV When a TV Setup Old? is
set, the remote control is ready to operate the TV
TheTv Setup Codes can be programmed manually,
or they can he autorscanned Each method is
described below
