General functional description
The Fob Slot ECU is equipment which enables comfortable operation of the vehicle. To be
able to operate the vehicle the driver has to insert the key into the Fob Slot. The vehicle
communicates with the key via antenna integrated into the Fob Slot. This antenna is driven
by inductance with a frequency of 125 kHz. If it is intended to start the engine of a vehicle, it
requires start actuation of a key. If the valid start code is sent by the key, the engine will start.
If the code is invalid, the engine will not start.
1.1 System Description
The Fob Slot ECU system consists of a control unit, the inductive antennas and the key.
Start Stop Switch is used to activate the system. Interaction with the vehicle is effected via
the Fob Slot, which receives the messages from the key and transmits them via LF antenna
to Fob Slot ECU unit.
