Reception is weak. ~ Press the UP button to increase volume. - The receiving signal may be weak and out at range. it this happens, press the MONITOR button, Cannot change channels. - To change channels, press and hold the FUNCTION button first until the Channel digit flashes on the LCD panel. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to change channels. Range is limited. - Batteries may be weak. Replace Wltll new batteries it the battery level indicator is low. ' The maximum range will vary depending on terrain and envrronment. Open tields provide the maximum range, while burldings and other structures may limit the range significantly. Press and Release the Function button twice to select CTCSS subchannel and then, press and release Up! Down button to move your desired CTCSS subchannel. b. When desired code is displayed. press and release PTI' button. c, To return to operational mode and not save your 1m setting. just press and release the CALL button, Note: The CTCSS (Code Tone Controlled Squelch system) Subchannel allows the user to utilize a less used channel range (0038) within a main channel. 3. Press the UPtA) button to increase volume. ~ Press the DOWN(v) button to decrease volume. - When adjusu'ng the speaker volume, the number of icon bars Will be increased or decreased accordingly, Receivlng a CALL(RX)- The radio is continuously in RECEIVING mode when the radio ON, When you receive a call on the current channel you are using, the LCD panel will llash the Receive symbol (see “LCD PANEL DISPLAY" (or details), Transmitting a CALL (TX) 1. Push and Hold the PTT button to transmit. The TX LED will light up in red and the LCD transmit symbol will flash (see “LCD PANEL DISPLAY” for details). 2.
