1 INTRODUCTION
Cnngralulatluns on your purchase oi the EZ Home Alert“ Universal
Garage Door Remote Control. This is a kit with a universal remote control
and E2 Smart BintonW. it is 100"/a compatible with all garage door
openers. Simply replaoe the traditional wall outton with the
EZ Smart Button W, thats all tor the installation. In this kit, you will lind the

INSTALLATION
Unplug the poweroord olyour garage door opener
before installation to ensure power is not conneolod.
EZ Smart Buttonm
The EZ Smart Button” replaces most garage door "push buttons" or “wall
consoles". There are 2 dlfiersnt kinds OI "push buttons".

1 Remove the existing push butlon try removing (r

2 Disccnnact the 2 wires that are connected to
the existing push outtort. '\

3. Connect the 2 wires trom the existing wall button 332“
to the EZ Home Alert Sman Bottom“. Twist the 2
wires together with the wire connector provided.
Polarity does not matter, so simply pick one wire
train the existing wall button, and oonneot it to one
oi the wires on the Smart Button 7“. Du the same
for the 2nd wire.

The red light on the Smart Button“ should flash
to seconds alter plugging in the power. The red
light will not liesh immediately alter plugging in
the power, which ls normal. The EZ sinart ~
Buttonm is now ready to be operated. D
Note: straighten up the antenna to improve signal reception.

MultlrFunctiDrl Wall Console normally comes with 3 buttons that can he
used in:
l) operate the garage door opener lighting;
2) lack the receiver so it doesn’t accept remote
oontrol operation; and
3) push button tor door Opening lclosing.

with the EZ Home Alertm Button. You need to install the Smart Sultan“ in
parallel with your existing wall console.

existing wall console. Polarity does not manor, so

connect it to one at the terminals on the existing wall

4. Nter connecting the tones. mount the Smart
Button W on to the wall with 2 screws. Also mount t
he original wall console on to the wall
5. Plug in the AD cord or the garage door opener.
The red lighten the Smart Buttonm should flash
15 seoonds alter plugging in the power. The red light
wlll not llash immediately alter plugging in the power,
which is rlDrmal. The Smart Buhnnw is nuw ready
to his operated.

garage door opener is probably too old. However,

To learn additional remote controls. lollow the
instructions below.
1. Press the learn button on the side oi the Smart Button.
2. Onoe the learn hutton is pressed, the LED will
llesh quickly. Vou may release the learn button.
a. Press the button on the remote control you would
like to program.
4. Onoe the remote control is programmed, the LED
will liesh slowly, in the same way as it flashes in
sandoy mode
5. You may now operate the garage door opener
