Topowertheaccesspoint,youcanuseoneofthefollowing3methods:
Method 1- UseifyouhaveaPoEswitch.
Method 2- Use if you do not have a PoE switch and do not
haveapoweroutletnearthelocationoftheaccess
point.
Method 3- Use if you do not have a PoE switch and have a
poweroutletnearthelocationoftheaccesspoint.
Method 1
1. ConnectoneendofyourEthernetcableintotheLAN(PoE)portonthe
DAP-2690.
2. ConnecttheotherendintooneportonaPoEswitch.

Method 2
1. ConnectoneendofanEthernetcableintotheData InportonthePoE
base unit and the other end into one port on your switch, router, or
computer.
2. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable into the P+Data Out port on
thePoEbaseunitandtheotherendintotheLAN (PoE)portonthe
DAP-2690accesspoint.
3. Use the supplied power adapter. Connect the power adapter to the
Power InreceptoronthePoEadapter.
4. Connectthepowercabletothepoweradapterandthenconnectthe
otherendintoapoweroutlet.

Method 3
1. Connectone end ofyourEthernetcableinto the LAN (PoE)port on
theDAP-2690andthenconnecttheotherendto aswitch,router,or
computer.
2. Use the supplied power adapter. Connect the power adapter to the
PowerreceptorontheDAP-2690accesspoint.
3. Connectthepowercabletothepoweradapterandthenconnectthe
otherendintoapoweroutlet.

vary.Networkconditionsandenvironmentalfactors,includingvolumeofnetworktrafc,buildingmaterialsand

TosetupandmanagetheDAP-2690fromacomputer,useoneofthefollowing
methods:
1. Connect a straight through Ethernet cable between the access point
andyourcomputer.
2. Connecttheaccesspointtoaswitchorrouteranduseacomputerfrom
acomputerthatisalsoconnectedtothatswitchorrouter.
