FCC - SAR3European Union - SARSAR (FCC)This Model phone meets the FCC Requirementsfor exposure to radio waves.Your Mobile Phone is a radio transmitter andreceiver. It is designed and manufactured not toexceed the limits for exposure to radio frequency(RF) energy recommended by FCC. These limitsare part of comprehensive guidelines andestablished permitted levels of RF energy for thegeneral public. The guidelines were developed byindependent scientific organizations through theevaluation of scientific studies. The limits include asubstantial safety margin designed to ensure thesafety of all persons, regardless of age and health. The exposure standards for mobile phones employa unit of measurement known as the SpecificAbsorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limitrecommended by FCC is 1.6 W/kg.* Tests for SARhave been conducted using normal operatingconditions with the phone transmitting at thehighest certified power in all tested frequencybands. This is because the phone is designed tooperate at multiple power levels so as to use onlythe power required to reach the network. Ingeneral, the closer you are to the station antenna, the lower the power output. Before a phone model is available for sale to thepublic, compliance with the States must be shown. One of the essential requirements of this rule is theprotection of the health and safety for the user andany other person. The highest SAR value for thismodel phone when tested for compliance againstthe standard is 0.671 W/kg. While there may bedifferences between the SAR levels of variousphones and at various positions, they all meet theFCC requirement for RF exposure. The SAR limit for mobile phones for public use is1.6 watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged over tengrams of body tissue. The limit incorporates asubstantial margin of safety to give additionalprotection for the public and to account for anyvariations in measurements.
