ROAD SAFETY
Always keep your hands to operate the vehicle while driving. Park the
vehicle before using your phone.
SWITCH OFF IN AIRCRAFT
Using of wireless telephones in aircraft may disrupt the operation of
the aircraft. It is dangerous and illegal. Ensure switching off the phone
before boarding an aircraft.
SWITCH OFF IN HOSPITALS
Follow any restrictions or rules. Switch off the phone near medical
equipment.
SWITCH OFF WHEN REFUELING
Switch off the phone at a refueling point or any fuel or chemicals
places.
SWITCH OFF NEAR BLASTING POINT
Don’t use the phone where blasting is in progress. Observe restrictions,
and follow any regulations or rules.
INTERFERENCE
All wireless phones may be susceptible to interference, which could
affect the performance.
USE NORMALLY
Use in the normal position explained in the product documentation.
Don't touch the antenna unnecessarily.
ENHANCEMENTS AND BATTERIES
Use only the approved enhancements and batteries. Do not connect
incompatible products.
EMERGENCY CALLS
Ensure the phone is switched on and in service. Enter the emergency
number, and then press the talk key. It will give your location. Do not
end the call until the permission.

Long press to power phone ON/OFF;
Press to end; reject call; or to exit a menu.
Navigator Keys
Press up/down/left/right directions in menu to scroll,
browse or in edit page to move cursor.
Space Key
Press the left soft key then space key to unlock the key
standby mode.
aA Key
Switch small letters and capital letters.
Sym Key
Press this key while editing to input punctuations and
other symbols
Delete Key
To delete characters.

Understanding The Display Icons
Icon
Explanation
Signal Strength of SIM1/SIM2
Shows the received signal strength.
Fuller bar means stronger signal.
Lock the keypad
Unread SMS
Bluetooth is on
Missed calls
Headset is on
Battery Status
Shows the charge level of phone battery. Fuller
bar indicate more power left. When charging, the
bar will scroll until the battery is fully charged.
Alarm
Appears when an alarm is set and activated.
Preparing Your Phone
1. Installing SIM Card
1. Please keep your SIM card away from reach of children.
2. Scratches and bends can easily damage the SIM card. Please be
extra careful when installing, removing, handling or storing your SIM
card.
3. Before installing or removing the SIM card, make sure the phone is
switched OFF, and then remove the back cover and battery.
a. Slide the back covers upward the bottom of the phone until it
can be removed.
b. Remove the battery (see Removing Battery).
c. Place SIM card into the SIM slot.
d. Fit the battery with the metallic contacts at the right bottom
corner.
e. Replace the back cover by fitting it to the back of the phone.
2. Installing Memory Card
1. Take out battery, slide open and lift metal buckle.
2. Put the end of Golden Finger aiming at T card slot with metal face
down horizontally.
3. Close the metal buckle and slide lockup.
4. If you want to take it out, do as per the above instructions contrarily.
3. Install Battery
1. Connect the battery’s metal touch points separately with the battery
compartment metal touch points, and put the battery base to the slot.
2. Put the back cover to its place.
4. Remove Battery
Remove the back cover then lift the bottom of the battery and remove
it.
Notes: Settings and data stored in the phone or SIM card may be lost
after the battery is removed.
5. Charge Battery
Connect the charger to power supply, and then insert the charger pin
into the I/O jack.
Notes:
1. When charging, DO NOT remove or take out the battery to avoid
the battery circuit to cause fire.
2. While charging, it is normal that the phone and charger will
become hot.
3. If the battery is completely empty, it may take a period of time
before the charging icon appears on the display.
6. USB Management
When USB cable plugged in, phone will have the following options:
1.
Mass storage: the phone can be connected to the PC and used as
a USB Flash Disk.
2.
Webcam: the phone can be connected to the PC and used as a
PC camera.
3.
COM port: the phone can be connected to the PC and you can
use web dial‐up service.
7. Power on and off
Press and hold Power key to turn on/off the phone.
And if you have set PIN or phone code, input it correctly.
8. Security Code
1. PIN Code
The PIN (Personal Identification Number) code protects your
SIM card against unauthorized use. It is normally supplied with the SIM
card package. Be careful while entering PIN code,
3 wrong tries in entering PIN code will block the SIM from use,
requiring input of PUK code to unblock. Please contact your operator
for further details.
2. PIN2 Code
The PIN2 code is required when activating certain special features
(such as call costs and fixed dialing). It is normally supplied with the
SIM card package. Be careful while entering PIN2 code, 3 wrong tries in
entering PIN2 code will block the SIM from use, requiring input of
PUK2 code to unblock. Please contact your operator for further details.
3. PUK Code
The PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code is required to
unblock a blocked PIN code. It is normally supplied with the SIM
package; otherwise contact your service provider for the code. Keep
your PUK code in a safe place, do not throw it away. Contact your
service provider if it is lost.
If your SIM is blocked，your phone will ask you to enter PUK
code to unblock it. You have 10 tries to enter the right PUK code, after
which your SIM might be permanently blocked.
4. Phone Password
The Phone Code is a 4 to 8 digit security code that protects
unauthorized use of your phone.
The factory default code is “1122”. Once activated, the phone
will ask you to enter Phone code every time when it is turned on. For
your security, change the default phone code as soon as possible.
Do not forget your phone password.
Call functions
1. Making a Call
Make a domestic call
Enter the phone number including the area code. Press the talk key to
make a call.
Make an extension call
When making an extension call, input “P” that is a prefix of extension
numbers. It will dial automatically in several seconds since you dialed
the telephone exchange.
viz.: area code—telephone exchange numbers—P—extension numbers,
then press talk key.
Make an international call
“+” is needed when input country code. Input “+”, enter the country
code, the area code and the phone number, press talk key to dial.
Make a call from Phone book
Enter Phone book, select the phone number, and then press talk key to
make a call, please remember you must select SIM 1, SIM 2 o SIM 3 as
necessary.
Redial a call by recent call lists
In standby mode, press the right selection key to find the recent call
lists, scroll to the number or name, then press talk key to dial.
2. Answer a call
An incoming call window will be displayed as the phone receives a call.
The number will appear on the window if you have opened this
function. If this number is not saved in the phone book, the call’s
district number will show it on the window. Press talk key to answer it.
If an incoming call arrived during your operation in sub window, a new
window will be popped to inform you and any of your operation will be
paused. If you missed a call, a missed call log will appear after you
return to the start screen.
3. Call options
During a call, the options content is changeable according to your call
status. The functions of Call Waiting, Call Hold need the support of net
work.
Here are some parts of the options, like “Hold single call”, “End single
call”,, “New Call”, “Phone Book”, “Messaging”, “Sound Recorder”,
“Mute ” and “DTMF”.
Text entry
You may be requested to input text message many times when you
using this phone. For example, when you write a message or add a
new phone book record, you can select different input methods, such
as ABC, abc……
You can input characters, letters, digitals or special characters including
punctuations.
Switch input methods
In a text entry state, you can press the “IME” key to switch from one
method to another.
Input method
Switch to uppercase or lowercase mode. Press “alt” there will be an
icon of “FN” on the upper left of the screen; you can input one upper
character. Press “alt” twice the “FN” will be locked, so all your input
character will be upper ones.
For letters you can input them directly.
Input special character
When use any kind of input method, press “sym” key to display the
character list.
Menu operation
The phone provides an excellent menu. And you can select each
submenu according to your need. Functions exist in these menus and
submenus. Enter the menus by pressing left flexible key or center key.
Function Menu
1. Messaging
1.1 Write message
Access this menu to edit and send message, press “option” to do as

following:
1. Sent to:
complete the message then enter number or add from
phonebook, choose SIM1 or SIM2 to send the message.
2. Input method: switch the input method as you want.
3. Insert template: choose the preset phrases as message.
4. Advanced: Insert number: insert the number stored in the
phonebook.
Insert name: insert the name stored in the phonebook.
Insert bookmark: insert the bookmarks stored in the
phone.
5. Save to Drafts: store this message into draft box, and the message
has not been sent.
1.2 Inbox
Access this menu to view the received messages.
When has the new message, the phone will ring, the unread message
icon also to be able to appear on top of the screen. Press ok key in
view message screen to do the following functions:
1.
Reply: reply the sender via message.
2.
Call sender: use SIM1 or SIM2 to call the sender.
3.
Forward: transmit the original message or modified message to
others.
4.
Delete: delete the message
5.
Delete all: delete all the messages
6.
Advanced: more options such as Use number/Use URL/Use
Email/Use USSD/Copy to
phone/Move to phone/Copy all/ Move all.
1.3 Drafts
Store the SMS without sending for reading or sending later.
Access this menu, select one SMS from the list and user can view and
use functions such as send, edit, delete, delete all and advanced.
Please check Inbox for reference.
1.4 Outbox
The failed sent messages will be saved in outbox.
Press ok key in viewing message screen to use functions such as resend,

edit, delete, delete all and advanced. Please check Inbox for reference.
1.5 Sent messages
Access this menu to view the saved messages.(save sent message
function should be activated, see SMS settings > common setting)
Press ok key in viewing message screen to use functions such as
forward, delete, delete all and advanced. Please check Inbox for
reference.
1.6 Delete messages
1. Inbox: Delete all messages from Inbox.
2. Drafts: Delete all messages from Drafts.
3. Outbox: Delete all messages from Outbox.
4. Sent messages: Delete all messages from Sent messages.
5. All messages: Delete all messages from all folders.
1.7 MMS
This function needs the supporting of network operators. Before using,
be sure your SIM provides this function or not. You can consult the
network operators.
1.7.1 Write message
Access submenus of “write message”, there are several items: To, Cc,
Bcc, subject and edit content. When you edit ,you can choose
Done ,Input method ,Add picture, Add audio, Add video, Add
attachment, Add slide before, Add slide after, Add bookmark text,
preview and Slide time .
After finished edit, user can choose “send only”, “save and send”,” save
to draft”, “send options” and “ exit”.
1.7.2 Inbox
It stores the received MMS in inbox.
When has the new MMS, the phone will ring, the unread MMS icon
also to be able to appear on top of the screen.
After download the MMS to the phone, you can do the following
functions: View, Reply, Reply by SMS, Reply all, Forward, Delete, Delete
all, Properties, Use details.
1.7.3 Outbox
The failed sent MMS will be stored in outbox.
Access this menu, user can choose “view”, “Send”, “Delete”, “Delete
all”, “Properties”, “use detail”

1.7.4 Drafts
Store the MMS without sending for reading and sending later.
Access this menu, select one MMS from the list and user can view,
send, edit, delete, delete all, properties and use detail.
1.7.5 MMS settings
A. The default profile is china mobile MMS. If you use other network
SIM, please contact with the local operator and set the parameters.
B. Access common settings, user can compose settings, send settings,
retrieve settings, filter setting, and memory status.
Notes: The storage space left for MMS in the phone is limited. So if the
space is insufficient, please delete some unnecessary MMS.
1.8 Broadcast message
Broadcast public information sent by the network providers. Use Cell
Broadcast service, you can receive information on various subjects
from network provider. For more available information, please contact
your local network providers.
1.
Receive mode: turn on/off broadcast message.
2.
Read message: to read the broadcast message.
3.
Languages: choose the language you want.
4.
Channel settings: you can receive broadcast messages
selectively.
1.9 Templates
There are ten predefined texts. User can use them to edit or delete.
1.10 SMS settings
Access this menu to do the following functions:
1.
Profile Settings: you can edit or modify the SMSC address, or
ask your provider for the number.
2.
Voicemail server: This is a Network Service, and should be
supported by the service provider.
3.
Common settings: you can set Delivery report, Reply path and
Save sent message.
4.
Memory Status: to check how many SMS are stored and the
total number which SIM or phone can store.
5.
Preferred Storage: select SIM card or phone for preferred

storage.
2. Phone Book
Our phone can store 500 phone numbers, the capacity of SIM card
decide how many phone numbers can be stores in SIM card. Both
phone numbers in phone and SIM card can be combined as one phone
book for viewing.
Select any call and press “options” to achieve functions as follow:
1.
View: to view the information of the selected call
2.
Send text message: to send short message to the call
3.
Send multimedia message: to send multimedia message to the
call
4.
UMVideoChat: to make video chat to the call
5.
Call: to use SIM 1/SIM 2 to dial
6.
IP dial: to use IP number to dial
7.
Edit: to edit the selected call
8.
Delete: to edit the selected call from phone book
9.
Copy: copy the call from phone to phone or from SIM card to
SIM card
10.
Move: move the call from phone to SIM card or from SIM card
to phone
11.
Send contact: send the call information to others as text
message/as multimedia/via Bluetooth
12.
Add to blacklist: add the call to blacklist, you cannot receive
call or message from the holder.
13.
Mark several: mark several calls
14.
Caller groups: add the selected call to user’s group
15.
Phonebook settings:
1.Preferred storage: select prefer storage SIM 1/SIM
2/Phone/All
2.Speed dial: Switch on/off the mode. Set the numbers from

3.My number: edit or send my number
4.Extra numbers: you can set owner numbers/fixed dial/SOS
numbers
5.Save contact notify: unsaved number inform you to save
6.Memory status: show the total number and stored number
of SIM and phone

7.Copy contacts: copy the contacts from phone to SIM card or
from SIM card to phone
8.Move contacts: move the contacts from phone to SIM card or
from SIM card to phone
9. Delete all contacts: delete all contacts from SIM card or
phone
Notes:
1.
Sending VCard can only be supported when the received phone
also has this function. Otherwise the VCard cannot be displayed
normally on the received phone.
2.
One ring tone can only be select as caller ring tone after the file
in the file manager send to the ring list.
3.
Copy items from phone to SIM card, it can only copy the name
and number of a record.
Only the record in phonebook can be set as the member in the group,
caller picture, caller ring tone and caller video.
3. Calendar
Display from January 1970 to December 2030. It also displays events.
Options you can select as follow:
1. View: view the event of the selected day.
2. View all: view all events.
3. Add event: add new event.
4. Delete event: delete all/overdue/specific period events.
5. Jump to date: switch to the day you want.
6. Go to today: switch to today.
4. FM radio
In the FM radio screen, you can touch the scroll left/right key to switch
broadcast channels; press scroll up/down key to adjust the volume.
1.
Channel list
At most 30 channels could be saved in the list.
2.
Manual Input
Directly input the FM frequency of the channel.
3.
Auto search
To search all channels and save them in the channel list automatically.
4.
Settings
To set the ‘back ground play’ and ‘loudspeaker’ state.
Notes: The quality of FM is influenced by the range of broadcasting

station.
5. Camera
5.1 Camera
Select camera item in main menu to enter preview screen. Then press
scroll right or left key to adjust the exposure value and scroll up or
down key to zoom in or out.
Enter some numbers to get shortcut.
1 to adjust image size
2 to adjust image quality
4 to adjust white balance
6 to adjust delay timer
7 to adjust continuous shot
While preview, touch left soft key to do the work: photos, camera
settings, image settings, white balance, scene mode, effect settings,
storage and restore default to set the parameters.
And press center key to take photo.
5.2 Video recorder
Enter video recorder, touch left soft key can enter some options:
1.
Camcorder settings: to adjust EV, Night mode, Anti‐flicker.
2.
Video settings: to adjust the video quality.
3.
White balance: to select
Auto/Daylight/Tungsten/Fluorescent/Cloudy/Incandescent
4.
Effect settings: to select Normal/Grayscale/Sepia/Sepia
green/Sepia blue/Color invert.
5.
Storage: store the video into phone or memory card.
6.
Restore default: to get back to the ex factory settings.
After setting, touch center key to start or Suspend recording. And then,
touch right soft key to stop and save. While recording you can press
left and right navi key to adjust EV, press up and down navi key to
zoom in or out.
6. User profiles
User profiles define how your phone reacts when you receive a call or
a message, how your keypad sounds when you press a key, and more.
Each of the available profiles can be left at their default setting or
customized to suit your needs. Select and customize the most suitable
profile for your situation. The available modes are General, Meeting,
Outdoor, Indoor, and Headset.

In standby mode, you can press and hold key “$” to switch to silent
mode.
7. Audio player
Select audio player in the main menu item or keyboard shortcut to
enter the audio player interface. Press scroll up/down key to adjust the
volume, press the scroll left/right key to switch to the previous/next
song, press and hold scroll left/right key to forward or backward.
To pause or play.
Switch the repeat mode.
Switch shuffle on/ off
Notes: If “List Update” is opened, the play list will be created
automatically form phone or memory card according to the storage. If
closed, the user should create or delete the file in play list manually.
8. Image viewer
Access this menu; you can view the pictures in the list. If you select
one picture, there are several operations for you to choose:
1.
View: to view the selected image, use left or right navigation
key to view next or last images.
2.
Image information: to view detailed information of the image.
3.
Browse style: you can select list style or matrix style.
4.
Send: to send the image as multimedia message
5.
Use as: to use the image as wallpaper/screen saver/power on
display/power off display.
6.
Rename: rename the image.
7.
Delete: delete single image.
8.
Sort by: you can sort the image by name/type/time/size/none.
9.
Delete all files: delete all images.
10.
Storage: you can choose store the image into phone or memory
card.
Whether the operations can be successful or not is related to some
factors such as the size of the screen.
9. Calculator
This calculator only can be used for simple calculations

M+: Plus displayed number and memorized number, if there is
no memorized number, the displayed number will be
memorized.
M‐: Minus displayed number from memorized number.
MR: Quote the memorized number.
MC: Cancel the memorized number.
10. Time
10.1 Time
Set the home city, time and date, time and date’s format, update
with the time zone.
10.2 Alarm
When the mobile is off, if the battery has sufficient power, the
alarm will continue working. You can set five alarms; you may
turn on one or all of them as per request. Each alarm can be set
individually.
When the alarm time is up, the handset will give of tip sound.
Press key stop then it can stop ringing.
If, say, the time is up but handset is off, it will automatically
turn on and ring. If pressing stop, the handset will enquiry you
if you want to turn on. Press “No” the handset will stay off,
otherwise, by touching “Yes,” it will start register for turning
on.
10.3 World clock
Under this menu, you can look up current time and time zones
of different cities in the world after selecting the time zone.
You also can switch on/off the daylight saving time.
11. Shortcuts
Users can set the shortcuts by their needs. Users also can add, edit,
delete, delete all, enable/disable and change order of these shortcuts.
12. Call center
12.1 Call history
Select call history from main menu, you can view the information
about call history, including missed calls, dialed calls, received calls,
delete call logs, call timers, call cost, text msg. counter and GPRS
counter.
12.2 Call settings
12.2.1 SIM1 (SIM2) calls settings:

Caller ID
There are these options; “Set by network”, “Hide id”, and
“Send id”.
1.
Call waiting
If it is supported by your service provider, call waiting will
notifies you of an incoming call even if you are in a call. You can then
accept, reject, or ignore the incoming call.
To make this function available, please contact local network provider.
2.
Call divert
Call diverting is a network services, it tells your network to
divert incoming calls to another number to avoid missing a call.
The following is available: Divert all voice calls, Divert if unreachable,
Divert if no answer, Divert if busy, Divert all data calls, and Cancel all
diverts.
3.
Call barring
If it is supported by your service provider, this function will
enable you to restrict the outgoing or incoming calls. You also can
select the options: Cancel all, Change barring password.
4.
Line switching
Enter this menu user can switch to line1 or line2.
5.
Closed user group
To close user group.
12.2.2 Advance settings
1. Blacklist
You can switch on/off this mode. When add a number in
blacklist, you cannot receive call or message from the holder.
2. Auto redial
It can dial the same phone number automatically after a
failing dial with this function.
1.
IP dial
You can set the prefix IP number with this function.
2.
Call time display
Switch on/off the mode, when the mode is on it will show you
the time you make a call.
3.
Call time reminder
There will be a hint sound when the setting time passed
during a call.

4.
Auto quick end
It will automatically hang up when the preset time is up. You
can set the time from 1‐9999sec.
13. Settings
13.1 Dual SIM settings
Use this function user can switch between dual SIM open,
only SIM1 open, only SIM2 open, flight mode.
13.2 Phone settings
1. Schedule power on/off
You can set 4 power on/off schedule, and the phone will power on or
power off according to the settings.
2. Language
Select the operating language.
3. Preferred input methods
You can set the default input methods in text editor.
4. Display
Set Wallpaper, Screen Saver, Power On/Off Display, Show date and
time.
5. Greeting text
Edit the greeting text.
6. Dedicated key
You can set shortcuts, when you press scroll keys.
7. Auto update of date and time
Set the state to “on” or “off”. If the state is “on”, when connecting to
swap network, the date and time will be update.
8. Misc. settings
You can set the LCD backlight duration and brightness.
13.3 Network setup
This feature is available to operate network settings when you are
roaming or travel outside. Access the menu; you can select the
network manually or automatically.
Before use the network, you must contact your local service provider
or the roaming area before you use this function.
13.3.1 Network selection

New search：Add a new network.

Select network：Choose the provider of the network.
3.
Selection mode：Manual or Automatic.
13.3.2 Preferences
To choose the preferred network provider.
13.4 Security settings
You can set the security settings to protect the phone or SIM card from
unauthorized use. The default security code is 1122.
13.4.1 SIM Security settings
1. SIM Lock
Set the phone to ask for your PIN code each time you start your phone
(if this function is supported by your SIM card).
Notes: After three consecutive incorrect PIN code entries, the code will
be blocked, and you need the PUK code to unblock it.
The PIN code and PUK code are usually supplied by the SIM card. If you
don’t get them, please contact with the supplier. The default PIN code
is 1234 usually.
2.
Change password
You can change PIN code, PIN2 code here.
13.4.2 Phone lock
Phone lock can be used to lock the device to avoiding unauthorized
use.
Set the phone to ask for your security code each time you start your
phone.
13.4.3 Auto Keypad lock
You can set the auto lock time in the submenu of this
function(none,5sec,30sec,1min,5min) then the key will automatically
be locked if there is no more action of the phone.
13.4.4 Change password
You can change phone lock password here.

card. To enter File manager under the main menu, press left soft key
for follow options:

8. Mark several: to copy/move/send marked files

Data account
It contains only “GPRS” data account.
In order to use WAP function normally，please right setting: Account
Name, APN,DNS, user name and password.

Access the menu, you can enter film list and touch “option” to choose
a movie clip to play, send, rename, delete, delete all files, sort by and

While playing, press up or down navigation key to adjust volume, right
or left navigation key to adjust speed.
Press “*” to get full screen.

The sound recorder supports two formats: WAV and AMR.

B. When recording files exist in the current Storage Device, you
can press left soft key to enter the following options:
1. Play： Play the selected recording file.
2. Append： Append the recording data to the end of the
selected file. (Only AMR format files support this
operation.)
3. Rename：Rename the selected file name.
4. Delete：Delete the selected recording file.
5. Delete all files：Delete all the recording files.
6. Use as：use the recording as user profiles.
7. Send：Send recording file to MMS or Bluetooth.

Maintenance and Care
Caring for Battery
This phone uses a rechargeable battery as power source,
when the battery is weak, recharge immediately to protect the battery
life. It is best to drain the battery first.
When not using the charger, unplug it from the power source
and the phone. Over charging will shorten the battery life. Not leave
the charger connected to the unit or battery for more than one week.
Temperature affects battery capacity. Your battery may need
to be warm up or cool down before charging. If the battery
temperature is lower than 0°C or higher than 45°C, it can not be
recharged.
Use the battery as it is originally intended. Do not short circuit
the battery by connecting the positive and negative terminals with a
conductor.
Do not use a damaged battery
The battery will not perform properly and its life will be
shortened if exposed to extreme temperatures.
Do not place the battery in fire; follow local laws and
ordinances in disposing used battery.
Maintenance
Do not leave your phone within the reach of small children
(certain removable parts may be accidentally ingested).
Do not use your phone in damp areas (bathroom, swimming
pool…). Protect it from liquids and other moisture.
