7Using your TV remote to control the volumeThe MagniFi MAX comes pre-confi gured to respond to volume and mute commands from the most popular TV remotes including: Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio.**All other trademarks, product names, logos, and brands referenced herein are the property of their respective ownersTurn on your TV and verify that you are seeing video and hearing sound from the sound barNote: If you are hearing sound from both your TV and your sound bar, you must manually turn o your TV speakers using the Settings Menu on your TV. Please refer to your TV’s owner’s manual for instructions.9.NOTE: If the MagniFi MAX remote does not work with your TV, follow the instructions on page 15 to get the MagniFi MAX to learn your TV remote control commands.
8Listening to MusicChromecast Built-in Benefi tsMagniFi MAX features Chromecast Built-in which lets you easily: 1. Stream music from your favorite apps over Wi-Fi or Ethernet.2. Create a whole-home audio experience. Multi-room sync let’s you play the same song across Chromecast built-in compatible speakers in your house at the same time.3. Use Google Assistant on a Google Home speaker to control music playback on the MagniFi MAX using voice commands.Chromecast Built-in Setup1. Download the free Google Home app and follow the in-app instructions to connect the Polk MagniFi MAX to your Wi-Fi or Ethernet network.2. For more detailed setup information about Google Home and Chromecast Built-in for audio, visit: https://support.google.com/googlehome and https://support.google.com/chromecastbuiltin3. When streaming from a Chromecast-enabled app, a white LED will appear on the sound bar.
9Bluetooth® Audio1. To connect your device using Bluetooth, press the Bluetooth button on the sound bar or remote. A blue LED will slowly pulse on the sound bar as it waits to connect to your bluetooth device. 2. Go to the Bluetooth settings section in your phone, tablet or computer and select “Polk MagniFi MAX”. The LED will turn solid blue when your Bluetooth device is connected.Receiving Automatic Updates - Highly RecommendedPolk will provide periodic updates to the product to improve performance, and update its database of supported TV remotes. We highly recommend that you connect your sound bar to the Internet. To receive automatic updates, you do not need to register your product or provide your email address. Simply connect your sound bar to your network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet using the free Google Home app (cable not included).

15Using Your TV or Cable/Satellite Remote (IR only)to Control the MagniFi MAXThe MagniFi MAX is pre-configured to work with most TV remotes volume +/- and mute function. To teach your remote other functions such as source selection or bass volume please follow these steps:1. Enter learn mode by pressing and holding the Source button on the sound bar until you hear a tone and the lights on the front of the sound bar pulse left and right.2. Press and release the button on the MagniFi MAX remote that you want to learn (ex: Volume Up).3. Press and release the corresponding button on YOUR remote repeatedly until you hear a two note ascending tone or see a green LED (success) or a red LED (Fail). NOTE: Make sure you wait at least 1 second between button presses!4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to learn Volume Down, Mute, and Power buttons from your remote.5. Exit learn mode by pressing and holding the Source button on the sound bar again until you hear a tone and the lights on the front of the sound bar stop pulsing.6. Verify that your remote can control the buttons you programmed (ex: Volume up) on the MagniFi MAX.IMPORTANT: Hold both remotes about 12” (30cm) directly in front of the MagniFi MAX when pressing their respective buttons. Make sure you wait at least 1 second between button presses. Make sure your remotes have fresh batteries.12” (30cm)NOTE:•You will hear a dierent (descending) tone if the command failed to learn. Please try again.•MagniFi MAX will exit Learn mode after 1 minute of inactivity, saving any learned codes.
16Advanced SetupConnecting a cable box, game console or other HDMI sources to your MagniFi MAX (figure 1)Magnifi MAX supports up to three HDMI sources. It will pass-through 4K and HDR signals to your TV if you are using the HDMI-ARC connection between the sound bar and TV. You will need to use High Speed HDMI cables for 4K content. Using the optical input for an audio source (figure 2)If you want to use the Optical input on the sound bar for another audio source such as a CD player, follow these steps:1) Connect your TV to MagniFi MAX using HDMI-ARC. 2) Connect the supplied Optical cable between the CD player and sound bar. 3) The TV button on the remote will toggle between the HDMI-ARC and Optical input sources as long as audio is available. 17Wall mounting your MagniFi MAX & SR1 Wireless SurroundsYour sound bar includes a wall mounting template and wall mounting brackets and a wall mounting template for the surrounds. Please refer to the wall mounting template for instructions. Screws for attaching the brackets to the wall are not included. Choose the screw type and length appropriate to your home’s construction. 87Mit der TV- oder Kabel-/Satelliten-Infrarotfernbedienung (nur IR), das MagniFi MAX Das MagniFi MAX ist mit den Lautstärke- und Mute-Funktionen der meisten TV-Fernbedienungen kompatibel. Um der Fernbedienung für weitere Funktionen wie Source-Auswahl oder Bass-Regelung zu programmieren, sind folgende Schritte zu beachten:1. Der Programmiermodus wird aufgerufen, indem die Source Taste auf der Sound Bar gedrückt gehalten wird, bis ein Ton erklingt und die Lampen an der Vorderseite der Sound Bar blinken.2. Die Taste auf der MagniFi MAX-Fernbedienung drücken und loslassen, die programmiert werden soll (Bsp: Volume Up).3. Die entsprechende Taste auf IHRER Fernbedienung wiederholt drücken, bis ein ansteigender Doppelton erklingt oder eine grüne LED (Erfolg) oder eine rote LED (Fehler) aufleuchtet. HINWEIS: Vor dem nächsten Tastendruck mindestens 1 Sekunde warten!4. Die Schritte 2 und 3 wiederholen, um Volume Down, Mute und Power von ihrer Fernbedienung zu programmieren.5. Den Programmiermodus wird verlassen, indem die Source- Taste auf der Sound Bar gedrückt gehalten wird, bis ein Ton erklingt und die Lampen an der Vorderseite der Sound Bar aufhören zu blinken6. Prüfen, ob die programmierten Tasten der Fernbedienung (Bsp: Volume up) auf dem MagniFi MAX funktionierenWICHTIG: Beide Fernbedienung in ca. 12“ (30 cm) Abstand direkt vor dem MagniFi Max halten und die entsprechenden Tasten drücken. Vor dem nächsten Tastendruck mindestens 1 Sekunde warten. Sicherstellen, dass alle Fernbedienungen mit vollen Batterien ausgestattet sind.HINWEIS: • Es erklingt ein anderer (absteigender) Ton, wenn der Befehl nicht programmiert wurde.
