During startup, you will see a blinking orange light
on the front and the light ring will spin.

For the best listening experience, position the sound
bar centered under your TV.

5. Connecting the subwoofer to an AC outlet
A solid green light will be visible on the back of the
subwoofer to indicate that it is paired to the sound bar.

Using your TV remote to control the volume
The Command Bar comes pre-configured to respond to volume and mute commands from the
most popular TV remotes including: Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, and other major brands.*

Installing remote batteries
Insert the provided AAA batteries.

Verifying your connections
Turn on your TV and verify that you are seeing video and
hearing sound from the sound bar.
Note: If you are hearing sound from both your TV and your sound bar, you
must manually turn o your TV speakers using the Settings Menu on your TV.
Please refer to your TV’s owner’s manual for instructions.

NOTE: If the Command Bar remote does not work with your TV, follow the instructions on page XX to get the Command
Bar to learn your TV remote control commands.

Download the Polk Connect app from the app store
This app will connect your Polk Command Sound Bar to your network and enable Alexa
Voice Services. Please make sure you have your Wi-Fi password.

Talking to your Polk Command Sound Bar
Once connected to your network, the Polk Command Bar can be used to ask
Alexa to perform many useful tasks. To get the attention of your Polk Command Bar,
simply say “Alexa”. You can ask Alexa for sports updates, weather reports cooking
questions, and more.
You can also ask Alexa to control your sound bar using voice commands. Just say,
“Alexa, enable the Polk Command Bar Skill” to get started. Once the Polk Command Bar
Skill is installed you can ask Alexa to change the volume, mute the audio, switch inputs,
change sound modes, and adjust the bass and Voice Adjust center channel levels.

Listening to Music via Bluetooth®
1. To connect your device using Bluetooth, press the Bluetooth button on the remote.
A blue light will slowly pulse on the sound bar as it waits to connect to your
bluetooth device.
Go to the Bluetooth settings section in your phone, tablet or computer and select “Polk
Command Bar”. The light will turn solid blue when your Bluetooth device is connected.

Optimizing Your Listening Experience
Adjusting the Dialog or Center Channel
Use the Polk Voice Adjust feature to adjust dialogue levels to improve clarity when
watching TV shows, movies, and sports.
About Built-in Polk VoiceAdjust® Technology
The Command Bar features customizable voice levels in the sound bar allowing you to
tailor your listening experience however you prefer, to reproduce clear, crisp dialogue
and never miss a single word of your favorite movie, TV show or sporting event.
Adjusting the Bass
Easily adjust low-frequency volume for more or less impact.

Sport Mode
Enhances dialogue-rich content, like
sporting events, news casts and talk shows.
Uses Voice Adjust to boost dialogue clarity
and optimizes the subwoofer volume levels.
Night Mode
Reduces bass and volume dynamics
while improving voice intelligibility for
low-volume listening.
Movie Mode
Acoustically optimized for both movie and TV
content. It also provides a bass boost, increased
spatialization and enhances Voice Adjust levels for
improved dialogue clarity. It is the default sound
mode for HDMI and Optical input sources.

Using Your TV or Cable/Satellite Remote to
Control the Command Bar
There are several ways to use your TV, cable, or satellite remote to control MagniFi Max
HDMI CEC CONTROL
If your TV is connected via HDMI and your TV supports CEC (and it is enabled in the TV settings
menu), you can control the volume and mute functions on Command Bar from your TV without
any further setup.
PRELOADED IR CODES
If your TV is connected via optical or your TV is connected via HDMI but your TV does not
support CEC, you may be able control the volume and mute functions on Command Bar from
your TV without any further setup if your TV is one of supported brands and was manufactured
within the last 5 years. Visit the Polk web site for details.
IR LEARNING FUNCTION
If your TV is connected via optical and it is not one of the more popular brands, you can teach
your IR (infrared) remote to control volume, mute and other functions (such as source selection
or bass volume) on your sound bar.

I Don’t Hear Sound from my Subwoofer
1) Verify that the Subwoofer is plugged in to a power source.
2) Check the green light on the back of the subwoofer.
• If it is solid green, turn up the Bass using the remote control.
• If it is flashing green you need to sync the subwoofer to the soundbar using the
following instructions
Syncing the Subwoofer to the Soundbar
1) Press the power button on the soundbar to turn it on.
2) On the back of the SOUNDBAR, press and hold the SYNC button until you hear a tone
(about 3-4 seconds) and then release the button. The SUB and SURR lights above the
SYNC button will flash green
3) On the back of the SUBWOOFER, press and hold the SYNC button until you hear a
tone (about 10 seconds) and the light on the back of the subwoofer turns solid green.

Polk Audio, LLC (“Polk”) warrants to the original retail purchaser that Polk Audio branded wireless speakers, will be free from defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of (1) one year, under normal use and conditions. Should this product prove to be defective in material or workmanship, Polk will, at
its option, (a) repair the product, or (b) replace the product. If the product model is no longer available and cannot be repaired effectively, or replaced with an
identical model, Polk may, at its sole and absolute option, replace the unit with a current model of equal or greater value.

for instructions on where to send the product. You will be required to provide an original receipt or bill of sale, identifying you as the original purchaser and
identifying the purchase made through an authorized Polk retailer. You will need to ship the product, prepaid and insured, together with the proof of purchase to

Si la prise fournie n’est pas adaptée à votre prise, consultez un électricien
pour qu’il remplace la prise obsolète.Évitez que l’on marche sur le câble
d’alimentation ou qu’il soit tordu particulièrement au niveau des prises, des
réceptacles et à l’endroit où il ressort de l’appareil.
10. Placez le cordon d’alimentation de sorte à lui éviter d’être piétiné ou pincé,
notamment près des prises, des éléments de branchement et de l’endroit où
il sort de l’appareil.
11. N’utilisez que les fixations ou les accessoires précisés par le fabricant.
12. N’utilisez que le chariot, le pied, le trépied, les crochets ou la table précisés
par le fabricant ou vendus avec l’appareil. Si vous utilisez un chariot, soyez
prudent lorsque vous déplacez la combinaison chariot/appareil afin d’éviter
toute blessure due à un basculement.
13. Débranchez cet appareil en cas d’orage ou de non-utilisation prolongée.
14. Confiez toute réparation de l’appareil à du personnel qualifié. La réparation
est nécessaire lorsque l’appareil a été endommagé de quelque manière

endommagés, si un liquide a été renversé sur l’appareil, si des objets sont
tombés sur l’appareil, si l’appareil a été exposé à la pluie ou à l’humidité, s’il
