HANDS-FREE OPERATION
ATTENTION

• Do not leave your mobile phone in the car. The temperature inside may
be high and damage the phone.
• When you dispose of your car, take care to delete all personal data that
are registered in your Chevrolet AUDIO system. You should delete
the following Hands-free data from the system;
• Bluetooth phone data

NOTE
In the following conditions, the system may not function.
• The mobile phone is turned off.
• The current position is outside the communication area.
• The mobile phone is not connected.
• The mobile phone has a low battery.
HANDS-FREE SYSTEM
Hands-free system allows you to make or receive a call without taking
your hands off the steering wheel by connecting your mobile phone.
This system supports Bluetooth. Bluetooth is a wireless radio data
transferring system by which you can make calls without your mobile
phone being connected with a cable or placed on cable.
If your mobile phone does not support Bluetooth, this system
can not function.
• The Bluetooth® word mark and logos are owned by the Bluetooth
SIG, Inc. and use of such marks by General MOTORS LIMITED is
under license. Other trade marks and trade names are those of their
respective owners.
• Compatible Bluetooth Specifications: Bluetooth Specification Ver. 1.2
or later
• Compatible Profiles: HFP Ver. 1.5 or later
OPP Ver. 1.1 or later
CAUTION
While driving, do not use a mobile phone or connect the bluetooth phone.

ABOUT THE DISPLAY
• The telephone set will be registered in the main unit automatically. When
registration is completed, the message "Completed!" appear for a few seconds

vehicle in a secure location and select the telephone set.

pass key, repeat the registration operation.
REGISTERING A BLUETOOTH TELEPHONE SET
Registration is required in order to use a Bluetooth telephone set.
For details of the operation to be performed at the telephone set,
refer to the instruction manual supplied with the telephone set.
REGISTERING BLUETOOTH TELEPHONE SET FOR THE FIRST TIME
(NO PHONES CURRENTLY REGISTERED)
(1) Press the PHONE BUTTON ② to display the phone menu.
(2) Press MENU BUTTON ⑥, then press BT in the FUNCTION
BUTTON ⑦ to display Bluetooth menu.
(3) Press PAIR in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ so that the main
unit will start searching for other Bluetooth devices.
(4) When "Connecting...", "Device Name: Chevrolet" and
"Passkey: ____" is displayed in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③;
use the mobile phone to pair with the main unit
and to enter the pass key.
• The connection method from the telephone set to the unit varies according
to the specification of your telephone set. Refer to the instruction manual
supplied with the telephone set
CHANGING THE PASS KEY
(1) Press the PHONE BUTTON ② to display the phone menu.
(2) Press MENU BUTTON ⑥, then press BT in the FUNCTION
BUTTON ⑦ to display Bluetooth menu.
(3) Press INFO in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ to display the
Bluetooth information of the main unit.
(4) Press EDIT in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ to change the pass key.
(5) Turn the TUNE•FILE KNOB ④ to display the numeral of your
choice in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③, then press the AUDIO
BUTTON ⑤.
• Repeat the same operation until you have entered the entire pass key.
(6) After entering the final number of your choice, press SAVE in the
FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ to save the pass key you have entered.
• The pass key number comprises of only 4 digits.
• If you wish to change the pass key again, press
INFO
and then press
EDIT
in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦.
(5) Press the PHONE button ② to go back to the previous mode.

ATTENTION
You cannot change the pass key while driving. Park your vehicle in a secure
location and change the pass key.
(1) Press the PHONE BUTTON ② to display the phone menu.
(2) Press DIAL in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ to input the number
you wish to call.
(3) Turn the TUNE•FILE KNOB ④ to display the numeral of your
choice in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③, then press the AUDIO
BUTTON ⑤.
• Repeat the same operation until you have entered the entire number.
DELETING A REGISTERED TELEPHONE SET
(1) Press the PHONE BUTTON ② to display the phone menu.
(2) Press MENU BUTTON ⑥, then press BT in the FUNCTION
BUTTON ⑦ to display Bluetooth menu.
(3) Press CELL in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ to display the mobile
phone information that is currently paired with the main unit.
(4) Press DEL in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ to delete/disconnect
the currently paired mobile phone.
(5) "Delete ok?" will appear in the DISLAY WINDOW ③ asking for
confirmation, then press YES in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦.
• When deletion is completed, BT mark "
" will disappear in the
DISPLAY WINDOW ③.
(5) Press the PHONE button ② to go back to the previous mode.
ATTENTION
You cannot delete the registered telephone set while driving. Park your
vehicle in a secure location and delete the registered telephone set.
(4) When the name or telephone number you wish to call appears
in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③, press CALL in the FUNCTION
BUTTON ⑦.
(5) When the person receives the call, use "hands-free" to talk.
• When you have finished the call, press
END
in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦.
MAKING A PHONE CALL FROM A REGISTERED NUMBER
(1) Press the PHONE BUTTON ② to display the phone menu.
(2) Press BOOK in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ to display all phone
numbers registered, then turn TUNE•FILE KNOB ④ to search
and select the number you wish to call.
(3) When the name or telephone number you wish to call appears
in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③, press CALL in the FUNCTION
BUTTON ⑦.
(4) When the person receives the call, use "hands-free" to talk.
• When you have finished the call, press
END
in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦.
ATTENTION
MAKING A PHONE CALL
Phone number is not displayed while driving. Only when the vehicle is
stopped or parked, the phone number is displayed.
You can make a phone call using the phone book of the main unit,
manually dialing from the main unit or direct from your mobile phone.

ANSWERING A PHONE CALL
When your telephone set receives a call, the name or telephone
number appears in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③
• If the incoming telephone number is not registered, the telephone
number is displayed in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③.
If the incoming telephone name and number are registered, the name
is displayed in the DISPLAY WiNDOW ③.
If only the incoming telephone number is registered, the telephone
number is displayed in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③.
(2) Press MENU BUTTON ⑥, then press BT in the FUNCTION
BUTTON ⑦ to display Bluetooth menu.
(3) Press BOOK in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ to add phone book
entry.
(4) Press ADD in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ so that the main device
will be ready to receive the phone book entry.
(5) When "Connecting…" and "Please send phonebook!" is displayed
in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③, send the phone book data from
the mobile phone to the main device via Bluetooth.
• When the mobile phone has completed the sending, "Completed" appears for a
few seconds in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③.
(1) Press
CALL
in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ and talk "hands-free".
• When you have finished the call, press
END
in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦.
• When the main device's phone book has run out of registration capacity,
"Memory Full" will be displayed in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③.
(6) Press the PHONE button ② to go back to the previous mode.
REFUSING AN INCOMING CALL
(1) Press END in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ while the phone is
ringing.
ATTENTION
You cannot register any information in the phone book while driving.
Park your vehicle in secure location and then register the information.
REGISTERING INFORMATION IN THE PHONE BOOK
Telephone numbers and names can also be registered manually
in the phone book. Up to 100 entries can be registered in the
phone book of the main device.
REGISTERING THE PHONE BOOK DATA OF A MOBILE PHONE IN
THE PHONE BOOK OF THE MAIN DEVICE
DELETING THE DATA IN THE PHONE BOOK
(1) Press the PHONE BUTTON ② to display the phone menu.
(2) Press MENU BUTTON ⑥, then press BT in the FUNCTION
BUTTON ⑦ to display Bluetooth menu.
To register the phone book data of a mobile phone registered in
the main device.
(1) Press the PHONE BUTTON ② to display the phone menu.

(3) Press BOOK in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ to display all
registered phone number.
(4) Turn the TUNE•FILE KNOB ④ to search for the phone book
entry you wish to delete.
(5) Press DEL in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ to delete the
registered phone number.
SETTING THE VOLUME
SETTING THE SPEECH VOLUME
(1) Turn the VOLUME ADJUST KNOB ① clockwise or anticlockwise to
achieve the speech volume you consider best.
•The volume set in the adjustment is recorded.
• There is also an option for deleting all phone book entries by pressing A.DEL
in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦.
(6) "Delete ok?" will appear in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③ asking for
confirmation, then press YES in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦.
• When there is no data in the main device's phone book, "No Entry" will appear
in the DISPLAY WINDOW ③.
SETTING THE VOLUME OF THE RING TONE
(1)While the phone is ringing, turn the VOLUME ADJUST KNOB ①
clockwise or anticlockwise to achieve the ring tone volume you
consider best.
•The volume set in the adjustment is recorded.
(7) Press the PHONE button ② to go back to the previous mode.
NOTE
ATTENTION
You cannot delete the phone book data while driving. Park your vehicle
in a secure location and then delete the data.
The volume and microphone gain setting for each mobile phone is different
according to its specification.
Please adjust the volume by turning the VOLUME ADJUST KNOB ①.
DISPLAYING THE DEVICE INFORMATION OF THE
MAIN DEVICE
(1) Press the PHONE BUTTON ② to display the phone menu.
(2) Press MENU BUTTON ⑥, then press BT in the FUNCTION
BUTTON ⑦ to display Bluetooth menu.
(3) Press INFO in the FUNCTION BUTTON ⑦ to display the
Bluetooth information of the main unit.
(4) Press the PHONE button ② to go back to the previous mode.
ATTENTION
You cannot adjust the displayed device information of the main device while
driving. Park your vehicle in a secure location and then carry out the display.
