Big MagicBox Quick Start up Manual 1. The PowerSwitch and Connectors. Power On/Off Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the speaker. The Blue LED indicator will light up. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to power off. 2. To answer a call, press the To end the call, press the button. button again. To refuse a call, press and hold the button for 2 seconds. You can re-dial the last number called by the phone by double pressing the button. How to charge the speaker Before using your new wireless portable speaker, please charge it via the micro USB charging cable included in the package. Charging through a computer USB port is Preferred. If you need to use an ACDC adaptor/charger to charge the speaker, please use 5V, 1A USB wall charger. 1> Plug in the Micro USB pin into the charging port on the side of the speaker and the other end of the cable into any standard USB port. (Such as a computer USB charger) 2> The red LED indicator light (underneath power button) will be turned on when it is charging. 3> After the speaker being fully charged, the red LED light will be turned off automatically. 4> If the speaker is out of battery, the speaker will “beep” every 2 minutes to remind for a recharge. The DKnight Big MagicBox will take 3-4 hours to be fully charged. You can use your DKnight Big MagicBox when it is charging. IMPORTANT NOTE: After being fully charged, the Big MagicBox has a play time up to 10 hours depending on volume. The play time varies for a number of reasons including the volume (for Maximum volume, it could be played around 5 hours), device, connection, and music type. 4. How to pair your Bluetooth device with the DKnight Big MagicBox 1> Make sure the Big MagicBox is fully charged. (refer to section 3 in the manual) 2> Make sure that the Aux cable is plugged out when you are trying the Bluetooth function. If the Aux cable is plugged in, the Bluetooth function will be disabled. 3> Turn on the Big Magicbox, a blue LED light will be turned on and you can also hear a “brief message tone”. And the blue LED will start flashing. 4> Turn on the Bluetooth function of your smart devices/PC. 5> Search available Bluetooth devices on your smart devices/PC. When the “BIG MAGICBOX” appears on the list, please select it and your device will pair, connecting with the Big MagicBox. Very few devices will request a password, if your device does, please enter”0000” (four zeros). 6> After the speaker being paired successfully, you will hear a “brief message tone” again. The blue LED will stop flashing. IMPORTANT NOTE: The Big MagicBox could only pair with 1 device at once. When you turn on the Big MagicBox, the Big MagicBox will be automatically connected with the last paired Bluetooth device if that Bluetooth device is available and within range. If the Big MagicBox successfully paired with the last device, it will prevent any other Bluetooth devicefrom pairing to it. The best way is to disconnect the first device from the Big MagicBox before trying to pair to another device. To disconnect a device from the DKnight Big MagicBox, please press and hold the for 5 seconds until the Blue light flashing. The Blue light flashing indicates the device is disconnected and the Big MagicBox is in pairing mode. 5. Connecting to non-Bluetooth (Aux-IN) devices For devices that do not have Bluetooth or support for Bluetooth audio, you can connect and play music and audio by connecting your device to the AUX IN jack on the the DKnight Big MigicBox with the included 3. 5mm audio cable. 1> Turn on the DKnight Big MagicBox by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds. 2> Plug one end of the 3.5 mm audio cable into the AUX IN jack on the right side of the DKnight Big MagicBox and plug the other end into the headphone jack on your device. You can then play your music and audio on the DKnight Big MagicBox. IMPORTANT NOTE: When in AUX IN mode the forward/backward and volume +/- is controlled from the device only. +,-, << and >> will not function on the DKnight Big MagicBox. 6. Troubleshooting. Problem Solution Big MagicBox will not turn on Make sure the Big MagicBox has sufficient charge. Make sure the power button is fully in the on position. Cannot pair the Big MagicBox with my Bluetooth device Please make sure that audio cable is plugged out when you are trying the Bluetooth function. Please make sure the speaker is not connected with any other devices. (the speaker could only pair with 1 device at once) The Big MagicBox will be automatically connected with the last paired Bluetooth device. The best way is to disconnect the Bluetooth of your other devices at first and try it again. (refer to section 4) Please make sure the speaker is not connected with any other devices. Disconnect the other device from the DKnight Big MagicBox. Turn the Big MagicBox on and off. Remove the Big MagicBox from the pairing list on the device and then repair. Big MagicBox appears on my device, but will not connect Could not find Bluetooth driver for my Laptop For some older generation laptop/desktop, the Bluetooth driver on the laptop/desktop might not supported. We are suggesting you to buy an external Bluetooth USB adaptor for your computer to support Bluetooth usage. Could not pair with my MacBook Bluetooth range is short Please update your MacBook to the new OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) When you use BT connection between your MacBook and the Bluetooth speaker,make sure that the Mac uses the Speaker as an audio device. For smartphone/pad, the straight line Bluetooth range varies from 15-30fts depending on the Bluetooth driver and OS of the paired device. For laptop/desktop, the Bluetooth range will drop significantly depending on the Bluetooth drive on the computer. Since Bluetooth is a low power solution, obstacle between speaker and the paired device will degrade the Bluetooth range significantly. 7. FCC INFORMATION This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and 2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: —Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. —Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. —Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. —Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
