SanDisk and Transcend are the recommended brands. Memory cards are used to store music, photos, videos, and other files. Cuation! To prevent damage to information stored on the memory card, unmount the card before removing it from the device. Note: You can only store music files that you own (from a CD or purchased through the device) on a memory card. 3. Open the side cover and turn it to expose the slot. Installing a Memory Card 1. There are two options for the âThis tablet belongs toâŚ,â s Get an account: Touch if you do not already have a Google account and need to create a new one. Creat a Google account following the prompts. s Not now: Touch to skip the account setup for now. You can sign into a Google account later in Settings, UNDER !CCOUNTS SYNC 4HE 5SE 'OOGLE LOCATION SCREEN APPEARS Use Google Location s 'OOGLES LOCATION SERVICE USES DATA FROM SOURCES SUCH AS 7I &I NETWORKS TO HELP APPS DETERMINE your approximate location, even when GPS is not available. 18 Section 02: Understanding your device s %NTER YOUR INFORMATION INTO THE &IRST AND ,AST NAME fields Ă Touch Next s 4OUCH Next to continue (without entering the information). The âGoogle Servicesâ screen will then appear. Locking and unlocking the screen 7HEN YOU DO NOT USE THE DEVICE FOR A WHILE THE SCREEN is turned off and locked automatically to prevent unintended operation and save the battery power. To... Read the information carefully, and then touch Next to continue. The "Set up complete" screen will then appear. You should... ...lock the screen manually ...press Power/Lock Key ...unlock the screen or open the camera directly ...press Power/Lock Key Ă Touch and hold the Lock icon Ă Drag to the or edge of the larger circle Section 02: Understanding your device 19 Secure your lock screen You can lock your screen so that only you can unlock it to access your data, buy applications, etc. To set an Unlock Pattern, PIN, or Password for the ďŹrst time s Touch Settings > Security > Screen Lock > Slide, Face Unlock, Pattern, PIN, or Password 4HE lRST TIME YOU SET AN 5NLOCK 0ATTERN YOU WILL SEE A tutorial with instructions on how to create it. From then on, any time you wish to turn the device on OR UNLOCK THE SCREEN YOU WILL NEED TO DRAW YOUR 5NLOCK Pattern to unlock the screen. You can also lock your screen by using a PIN or Password.
