ON / OFF:
Press ON/OFF button for 2 seconds.
Key Lock/Unlock:
Lock – Press Menu for 2 seconds, LCD shows ’ ’, MENU/UP/DOWN buttons are locked;
Unlock -- Press Menu for 2 seconds, disappears.
MURS/NOAA:
1. NOAA------ In MURS Mode, press NOAA button to enter NOAA mode, press NOAA button
again to choose NOAA channel; Or you can press Menu, then press UP/DOWN to choose
NOAA channel under NOAA mode, nA stands for NOAA channel 1 to 10;
MURS ------- Press CALL button to exit NOAA and enter MURS mode.
NOAA Frequency:
01=162.550
02=162.400
03=162.475
04=162.425
05=162.450
06=162.500
07=162.525
Channel Selecting:
2. Press MENU until the numbers in or
are flashing;
3. Press UP or DOWN to select a channel, US stands for MURS channel 1 to 5; Press ON/OFF
to confirm and return to the main display.
Channel Scan:
1. Press MENU to enter ;
2. Press FUNCTION TO enter MURS from 1 to 5 or
NOAA from 1 to 10 and scan the channels;
3. When signal is found, it will stop until the signal disappears or press UP or DOWN to
continue; It will scan the channel first and then subcode;
4. Whether there is a signal or not, press MENU or ON/OFF button to stop scanning and return
to the main display;
5. When signal is found, press ON/OFF button to save the channel/subcode, stop scanning, and
return to the main display.
Subcode:
1. Press MENU until or is
flashing;
2. Press UP or DOWN to select tC(CTCSS) or dC(CDCSS);
3. Press MENU to see the numbers in or
flashing;
4. Press UP or DOWN to select tC(CTCSS) 0 to 38 or dC(CDCSS)0 to 83;
5. Press ON/OFF to confirm and return to the main display.
VOX:
1. Press MENU to enter , OF or 01 or 02 or 03 flashing;
2. Press UP or DOWN to select ON or OF the VOX, the sensitivity has 3 levels;
3. Press ON/OFF to confirm and return to the main display.
CALL Tune:
1. Press MENU to enter , 01 up to 06, or OF is flashing;
2. Press UP or DOWN to choose 01 to 06 six different call tones or OF to stop the call function;
3. Press ON/OFF to confirm and return to the main display.
Key Tone:
1. Press MENU to enter , On or OF flashing;
2. Press UP or DOWN to select On or OF the key tone;
3. Press ON/OFF to confirm and return to the main display.
Roger Beep:
1. Press MENU to enter , On or OF flashing;
2. Press UP or DOWN to ON or OFF the Roger Beep;
3. Press ON/OFF to confirm and return to the main display.
HI-POWER:
1. Press MENU to enter , On or OF is flashing;
2. Press UP or DOWN to On or OF the HI Power;
3. Press ON/OFF to confirm and return to the main display.
DCS Code Setting of Intercom:
1. Press MENU to enter ;
2. Press one of the 20 intercom buttons, for example, press 1
or 20
3. Press UP or DOWN to choose DCS code from 1---83 (this code is the DCS code of another
unit you want to talk to);
4. Press ON/OFF to save, the display shows ;
5. If you want to continue to set up other intercom buttons, repeat the above step 234
6. Press ON/OFF to confirm and return to the main display
Volume Control:
Volume Up --------Press UP to turn up the volume, maximum
07 ;
Volume Down------Press DOWN to turn down the volume, minimum is 01;
Fast Scanning
When you press the UP or DOWN for more than 1 second to select Channel/subcode/Volume, the
number will increase or decrease automatically.
Memory
Press ON/OFF to save the setup. The memory is not lost when you turn off the unit.
LCD Backlight
Press any button to activate the backlight for 5 seconds;
Auto Return to the Main Display
Press Menu and stop for over 10 seconds, the display will return to the main display
automatically;
CALL
Press CALL, the unit will send signal out and LCD shows TX;
TALK
Press PTT to talk and release to listen.
VOX
When VOX is on, the LCD shows“VOX”, the voice will be transmitted automatically without
pushing the PTT button;
Channel Busy Indicator
When the channel is occupied by others (no matter the subcode is same or not), LED is on and the
LCD shows “RX”;
Relay On/Off
This unit can work with old MURS TX boards. When it receives the signal from the old MURS
TX board (two units with same channel and subcode), the relay is activated and it gives alarm (the
voice chip). When there is no signal received, the relay will be off.
LISTEN-IN
1. Press LISTEN-IN
2. Press any of DCS1---20 to listen to any unit in the intercom system. For example, press
DCS20
3. Wait for 3 seconds until the display shows which means
sending out the LISTEN-IN instruction
4. When DCS20 receives the instruction, it transmits for 15 seconds automaticallythe receiver
will shows for 15 seconds. If there is no signal, it will
stop receiving after 5 seconds.
Intercom Functions:
All units in a group must be set the same channel and set in DCS mode.
20 DCS buttonseach DCS button can be set with a DCS code (1—83);
Press DCS buttons (DCS codes are corresponding with other units) to talk to other units
If there is no communication over 10 seconds, the unit will return to its own DCS code.
For example, my unit is DSC10, I press DCS1 to talk with DCS1. In this mode, my unit has
changed from DCS 10 to subcode DCS1 automatically in order to talk to DCS1. When there is
no signal over 10 seconds, my unit will return to subcode DCS10.
For example, unit A is channel 5, DCS 83, unit B is channel 5, DCS 82. Unit A sets DCS button
1 the DCS code 82. Then you press DCS button 1 of Unit A, Unit A will change its subcode to
82 automatically in order to talk to B. When there is no signal over s10 seconds, unit A will
return to its own subcode which is 83.
Talk to All
1. Press INTERCOM , the unit will activate all other units in
the group and made the other units change to no subcode
2. Wait for 3 seconds until the display shows which means
you can talk to all units (DCS1 – DCS20)
3. Press PTT to talk and release PTT to listen
4. If there is no communication over 10 seconds, all units will return to their original DCS code.
RemarkOnly 1 unit transmitting at one time.
Talk with some Units
1. Press INTERCOM
2. Wait for about 3 seconds, when the display shows Press any
DSC1 ---20 buttons you want to talk to for example, press
DCS1 and DCS20
3. Press PTT to talk with 2 units and release PTT to listen;
4. If there is no communication over 10 seconds, all units will return to its original DCS code.
RemarkOnly 1 unit transmitting at one time.
