FirstYear Duringthefirstyear(1), anyelectricalpartsof thisproductfoundto bedefective,includinganysealedsystemunits,will berepairedor
replaced,at warrantor'soption,at no chargeto theORIGINALpurchaser.Consumableparts(ie. lightbulbs)are notwarrantedor
guaranteedforanylengthof time.
SecondThrough Duringthenextfour years(4)anypart ofthe sealedsystemfoundto bedefective(consistingof compressor,condenser,evaporator,
FifthYear dryerandallrelatedtubing)wilIbereplacedwithoutcharge.Thepurchasershallpayforall laborand returnfreightduringthisfour year
(4)periodfor repairor replacementof anysealedsystemcomponents.Anyunitbeingdiagnosedas non-functionaldueto sealed
systemfailureandwarrantingan exchangeduringthe existingfour(4) yearswill be subjectto an appropriatedepreciationor userfee,

witha softdry clothandthe insidewitha wet,lukewarmcloth. Avoid
placingthe cabinetina narrowrecessor nearanyheatsource,direct
sunlight,or moisture. Let air circulatefreely aroundthe cabinet.
Keepthe rearof the refrigerator5 inchesawayfromthe wall.
Location
1. Selecta placewithastrong,levelfloor.
2. Allow5 inchesof spacebetweenthe backof the refrigeratorand
anyadjacentwall.
3. Avoiddirect sunlightand heat. Direct sunlightmay affectthe
acryliccoating. Heatsourcesnearbywill causehigherelectricity
consumption.
4. Avoidverymoistplaces. Toomuchmoisturein the airwill cause
frostto formveryquicklyonthe evaporator,andyour refrigerator
willhaveto bedefrostedmorefrequently.
To avoidvibration,the cabinetmust be set level. This is accomplishedby
adjustingthe(2) frontlevelinglegslocatedundertherefrigeratorcabinet.To
starttherefrigerator,turn thetemperaturecontrol(OFF-MAX)to the position
correspondingto the desiredcooling, ffTg..4)

1= Minimum Cooling
4= MediumCooling
MAX= MaximumCooling
Therefrigeratortemperaturewillvarydependingonthequantityof the
foodstoredandonthefrequencywithwhichthedooris opened.

Defrosting
Thisrefrigeratorisequippedwitha "PushButton"(semi-automatic)
defrostthermostatsystemwhichmeansnoneedto unplugthe
refrigeratorandnoneedto changethetemperaturesettingbefore
initiatingthedefrostcycle.
Beforestartingthedefrostcyclemakesure;
1.the defrosttrayis properlypositioneddiredly belowthe
freezercompartment.
2.the defrosttraybafflelocatedinsidethe defrosttray(at
rear)is inthe openposition.(fullyextended)
Thishelpsto directdefrostwaterrunningoffthe backof
thefreezercompartmentintothe defrosttray.
3.the draincap issecurelyattachedto the defrosttray
drain.(undersideofthe tray)
Toactivatethe defrostcycle,simplypush(in)the"red"defrostbutton
locatedinthe centerof thecontrolknob/dial.(thereis no needtoturn
the controldial/knobto 0 = offposition)Thedefrostcyclestarts
immediatelywhenthe reddefrostbuttonisactivated(pushed-in)The
defrostwateraccumulatesinsidethe defrosttray.Whendefrostingis
complete,the "red"defrostbuttonwill release(pop-out)automatically
andresumenormaloperating(cooling)conditions.
Todisposeof the accumulatedwaterfromthe defrosttray,position
the clearplasticstoragebin (upperdoorshelf)diredlyunderthe
defrosttraydrainopeningandunscrewthe draincapallowingthe
waterto flowintothecontainer.Replacethedraincapwhenthetray
iscompletelyempty.Disposeofthe defrostwater.
NOTE:Ifthe redpushbutton(defrostcycle)is"accidentally"
activated,itwill not bepossibleto "manually"pull-outthe pushbutton
to stopthe defrostcycle.Youmusteitherletthedefrostcyclerunit's
courseor;
1.Apply(hold)adishclothsoakedinhotwateragainstthethermostat
capillarylineandbracket,locatedonthe undersideofthe freezer
compartment.Theheattransferfromthedishclothwillcausea
temperatureriseonthethermostatcapillary,(sensingline)causing
the internalcontactsof thethermostatto closeandresumenormal
operatingconditions.Itmaytakeseveralminutesand/orrepeat
applicationsbeforethedefrostbuttonwill release.
Defrostingof yourrefrigeratorshouldtakeplacewheneverthe ice
build-up(accumulation)insidethefreezercompartmentreachesa
thicknessof 114"(6ram).Defrostingmaytakea fewhours,depending
onthe amountof accumulatediceandambientindoortemperature.
Tospeed-upthedefrostingprocess,removeallfrozenfoodsfromthe
freezersection.Leavingthe doorpartiallyajarfora shortperiodof
timewill alsoacceleratethe process.
IMPORTANT:Youmustrememberto closethe refrigeratordoor
beforethedefrostcycleterminatesandnormaloperatingconditions
resumeautomatically.
IMPORTANTNOTICE:Neverusesharporpointedinstrumentsto
defrost/removeicefromthe evaporator/freezercompartment.The
evaporator/freezercompartmentcontainsrefrigeratedgaslinesandif
punched/pierced,willrenderthe refrigeratorinoperableand"void"the
manufacturerswarranty.

Cleaning
Tocleanthe inside,usea softclothanda solutionof a
tablespoonof bakingsodato onequartof water,or a mildsoap
sudssolution,orsomemilddetergent.Washice cubetray,drip
tray, andglideout shelvesina milddetergentsolution,thendry
andwipewitha soft cloth. Cleanthe outsidewitha softdamp
clothandsomemilddetergentorappliancecleaner.
Vacation Time
Forshortvacationperiods,leavethe controlknobsat their usual
settings. Duringlongerabsences;
(a) removeallfoods,
(b) disconnectfromelectricaloutlet,
(c) cleanthe refrigeratorthoroughly,includingdefrostpan,
(d) leavedooropento avoidpossibleformationsof condensate,
moldor odors.
Power Failure
Mostpowerfailuresarecorrectedwithinan hourortwoandwill
not affectyour refrigeratortemperatures.However,you should
minimizethe numberof dooropeningswhilethe poweris off.
Duringpowerfailuresof longerduration,takestepsto protect
yourfoodby placingdry iceontop of packages.
If You Move
Removeor securelyfastendownall looseitemsinsidethe
refrigerator.Toavoiddamagingthe levelinglegs,turnthemall
the wayintothebase.
Shouldthe refrigeratorbestoredwithoutusefor longperiodsit

4.Whileholdingthefreezerdoor,pushdownonthehandleofthescrewdriveruntil
thetopfreezerdoorpinclearsthehingehole,
5,Whileholdingthefreezerdoor,carefullytiltthedoortowardsyourselfuntilthe
hingepinclearstheframe,
6.Liftthefreezerupwarduntilthebottomfreezerdoorhingepinclearsthebottomhingehole.
7.Turnthefreezerdoorupsidedown.
8.Reversethefreezerdoorbushings,NOTE:Therubberbushingmustbepositioned(placed)
atthebottomofthefreezerdoor,Thesolidbushingonthetopofthefreezerdoor,
9.Remove(lift)thefreezerdoorspringfromtheframeasshowninillustration#2,
10,Reinstallthefreezerdoorspringontheleftsideoftheframe,
Placethespringinthebottomholefirst,
CAUTION:Beforere-installingthefreezerdoor,remembertoholdthefreezerdooratanangle
(approx.60degree)wheninsertingthehingepinintothehingeholetoavoidbreakageofthepin.
11.insertthebottomhingepinfirstintothehingeholeontheleftsideoftheframe.
12.Whilepushingdownthebottomhinge,(rubberbushingwillcompress),carefullyguide
thetopfreezerdoorhingepinintothetophingehole.
13.Openthefreezerdoorandattachthedoorspringtothebracketlocatedontheleft
sideedgeofthefreezerdoor,
