SAFE USAGE AND REGULATIONS IMPORTANT INFORMATION! Read and follow all the safety and related information provided in this leaflet. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damage to the property of or injury to the user if any of these safety rules are not followed. GENERAL USAGE Deeper is a sonar-based gadget whose purpose is locating fish. It is not a stand-alone device and requires a smartphone, tablet or other compatible device for this purpose. Following safety and usage rules must be followed: ALWAYS use sufficiently strong fishing line and pole when casting the gadget. ALWAYS ensure the main seal is in good condition and the gadget is closed properly before immersing the gadget into water. DO NOT use the device in any other way than it is intended for as described in the instruction manual. DO NOT attempt to disassemble, modify or carry out any service of the gadget or its accessories, other than the simple maintenance procedures included in the intended use. DO NOT abuse, step on, kick, puncture, drop or throw the gadget; except when it is being dropped or thrown into sufficiently deep water. DO NOT expose the gadget to a mechanical load, vibrations or shock that may exceed those occurring during normal intended use. DO NOT use the gadget if there is any significant physical damage evident, if the main seal is worn or if it does not close properly, resulting in its water-tightness being compromised. DO NOT use the gadget if there is any rattling or water flowing sounds emitting from it when shook. DO NOT submerse the gadget underwater. DO NOT cast the gadget in areas where this may result in injury of other people or damage to property or the gadget itself, especially indoors. DO NOT rely on the depth readings to avoid getting grounded when navigating a boat. DO NOT rely on the Map feature of the application for avoiding collision when navigating the boat or getting directions when driving a car. ALWAYS keep the Deeper product and its parts and accessories, including packaging, out of children’s reach. DO NOT let children use or play with the device. Only properly qualified and trained personnel at Deeper, UAB may perform repair and service procedures. Do not attempt to disassemble, repair or alter the equipment yourself. The high-voltage circuitry in the equipment poses significant electrical hazard. BATTERY INFORMATION This gadget contains a lithium ion battery, which can be charged and discharged for up to 300 cycles, depending on the conditions at which the gadget is used. In order to increase the battery life, do not expose it to extreme temperatures. At freezing temperatures, the capacity of the battery is significantly limited. Even when you do not use your Deeper for prolonged periods of time, recharge it every 6 months. Eventually, the battery will wear out and will need replacing, which can be carried out by returning your Deeper for service (please refer to Warranty and Service section of the instruction manual). The battery can be dangerous if handled inappropriately, following safety rules must be followed: DO NOT attempt to remove or replace the battery. DO NOT expose the gadget to temperatures, outside the range of 20 oC to 40 oC (-4 oF to 104 oF). DO NOT leave the gadget in an interior of a parked car during a hot day. DO NOT leave the gadget under a direct sunlight for prolonged periods when not immersed in water. DO NOT dispose of the battery in a fire. DO NOT use the gadget if there is any non-water leakage or fumes emitting from it. Avoid getting the leakage product on skin or in the eyes. If this were to happen, wash the contact area thoroughly with cold water and consult with your doctor if there is any persistent discomfort or other symptoms. CHARGING Do not leave a completely charged battery connected to the charger for prolonged periods of time, as it may reduce the lifetime of the battery. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible in any event when a third party charger is misused. DO NOT leave the device charging unattended. DO NOT cover the charger or the device during the charging procedure as overheating may occur. DO NOT use the charger if there is any significant physical damage evident. DO NOT use the charger if there is any smoke or suspicious smell emitting from it. If this occurred during charging, immediately but cautiously disconnect it both from the mains and from the device. ALWAYS inspect the charger for damage before use. ALWAYS ensure the gadget is dry, there is no water on the USB connector or trapped inside before charging it. Ensure that the charger complies with Clause 2.5 in IEC60950-1/ EN60950-1/UL60950-1 and has been tested and approved according to national or local standards. WEE The WEE symbol on product or on its packaging indicates that the product must not be disposed of with other household refuse. It is your responsibility to ensure that the product is properly disposed of, preferably leading to recycling of the product or its parts. For further information on how to dispose the product properly, contact your local waste disposal service, local authorities or the product retailer. FCC REGULATION STATEMENT - USA The Deeper device with a following FCC ID: 2AHKO-PRO. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and 2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The wireless module contained in this equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. WIFI REGULATION GUIDE In some situations or environments, the use of Wi-Fi wireless technology might be restricted by the proprietor of the building or responsible representatives of the organization, for example onboard airplanes, in hospitals or in any other environment where the risk of interference with other devices or services is perceived or identified as harmful. If you are uncertain of the policy that applies to the use in a specific organization or environment, you are encourage to ask for authorization to use Wi-Fi wireless technology prior to switching it on. Consult your physician or the manufacturer of personal medical devices (pacemakers, hearing aids, etc.) regarding any restrictions on the use of Wi-Fi wireless technology. INTENDED USE OF DEVICE The fish finder (sonar) Deeper DP1H10S10 and DP1H20S10 is a sonar that works in conjunction with smartphones and tablets. The sonar works in the depths from 1 m to 80 m and uses Wi-Fi wireless technology to send the information to the smartphone or tablet. A fish finder is an instrument used to locate underwater objects by detecting reflected pulses of sound energy. Fish finder displays measurements of reflected sound on a graphical display, allowing an operator to interpret information to locate fish, underwater objects, and the bottom of body of water. PRODUCT OPERATING MODES: Inactive mode – the default mode. In this mode Deeper is not discoverable on Wi-Fi. When put in water it changes from Inactive to Stand by mode. If you take the product out of water for 20 seconds, it will change back to Inactive mode. Stand by mode – Deeper is in the water, but it is not connected to the smartphone or tablet. It can be discovered via Wi-Fi and connected to. Operating mode – smartphone or tablet is connected to Deeper. The device is in the water and scans the bottom and underwater objects. If the mobile application disconnects from Deeper while it is in the water and it is on Operating mode, it will change to Stand by mode. If you take the device out of the water for more than 5 minutes, it will change to Inactive mode, even if the application is connected. Charging mode – the product is plugged into a power socket, laptop, or PC through the USB cable.
