Users Manual
MANUAL 1) Function instructions DLC-6820 close integration reader's basic function is to provide with the way of dat a transmission and back-end control system to transmit information between the lab els card and it. DLC-6820 readers work frequency is the ISM bands (902 ~ 928 M Hz), reading and writing with high speed, which can operate multiple labels, only to operate the label of proprietary applications system(through the issuance and man date of proprietary systems), automatic hopping frequency literacy and strong anti-ja mming capabilities, and other characteristics. DLC reader has the following main fu nctions: 1, Read: not only can read the ID of the tags, also can read the data of designat ed label orage areas; not only can read the data of single label, and can read the data of multiple labels at the same time; 2, Write: can write data to designated label storage area; 3, LOCK function: set "LOCK" to the designated label storage areas, to prevent the data of the storage area being changed; 4, Enquiry for LOCK: enquire for the latched address of the storage area; 5, through standard interfaces connected with PC, to do communications and data exchange, providing SDK development kits for users to use in secondary developm ent. 2) Hardware installation instructions The principle to choose the installation location of DLC readers is: ⑴ must ensure that vehicles in some speed passing the effective reading region of readers have e nough time to read (at least 20 ms), and make control equipment have enough tim e for the operation of control gates across moves. ⑵ There are not any metal objects obscured between the antenna location and lab els. ⑶ the distance of reader and antenna installation location as near as possible (for multi-channel fission readers, the longest distance for high-frequency cables is sev en meters) ⑷ the distance between readers and control equipment (or PC) as near as possibl e, and use the shielded cable communications as requirements 3) Software using instructions Reader demo procedure Manual Preparation work before using Before using the demonstration procedures, copy the information of products sets a ccompanying CD-ROM to the specified directory of user’s computer. Properly connect computer serial port and reader serial port. Collect the power supply of reader, red light of the power supply shining said that the power supply is normal. Running demo programs In the directory of user specified, double-click "Reader_Demo.exe" file icon to run d emo programs. Before user’s presentation, please correctly select the serial port and set baud rate, then click on "online", if the reader is working normally, the status bar of demonst ration program will show devices are normal and communication is normal, can sta rt the function presentation of the reader/writer. Set work parameters of reader In order to make the users use the presentation procedures conveniently, can throu gh the working parameters setting function provided by demonstration program to a djust the working parameters of reader/writer. When this series of readers leave factory, working parameters have been set up, u sers can directly use the readers to do feature presentation of reader/writer. power settings: Reader RF power value setting, the power RMS is 0-150, the great er the value of power, the farther the effective communication distance between the reader and the tags. Power values can be adjusted appropriately according to de monstrate environmental characteristics and requirements. hopping settings: the reader can work fixed the frequency or frequency-hopping. Th e fixed frequency is that the reader and tag communicate with a fixed-frequency, th e user can select a frequency point from the drop-down list of the frequency; frequ ency hopping is the reader and labels communicate with a point sequence designe d in advance. The user can choose reader/writer works with frequency hopping or f ixed mode. antenna settings: this series readers can be divided into single-channel and multi-c hannel based on different models, for multi-channel reader, can choose relevant wo rk antenna according to the practical condition and function demonstration requirem ents of the external antenna of the reader. Forward link rate: reader sent an bit rate ordering the data to the label, the user c an choose 10 k bps or 40 k bps. Backward link rate: label returns the reader the bit rate of response to the data, th e backward link rate related with the forward link rate, the user can choose one ti me speed backward link rate or 4 times speed forward link rate. When a user set up work parameters, click on "setting parameters" button, making the work paramet ers set to take effect.
