Before you use DF-W208, it is important that you read this user manual to
get important information and instructions regarding WHDI transmitter and
receiver.
Thank you for purchasing this quality Dfine product. Any defects in
components or faulty workmanship occurring within a specific period will be
rectified or repaired free of charge, but this warranty may not apply to the
following cases:
● Unauthorized modifications to the products or repair by an unauthorized
technician.
● Breakage caused by accidents including but not limited to fire, water
immersion, and moisture.
● Use on incorrect voltage, use contrary to operating instructions.

Danger: Electricity Hazard
● Power must be switched off when not in use, any power adaptors connected
AV devices and TV should be plugged out.
● Power outlet: To prevent electricity shock, please check if the mains lead
used on the receiver and transmitter corresponds to the power outlet.
● Mains lead: Stepping or putting heavy stuffs on mains lead is prohibited.
● Power overloading: Do not overload the power outlets, otherwise electric
shock or fire could happen. If the power is overly loaded, please extend the
mains lead.
● Lighting stroke: Disconnect the power adaptor when product is not used for
a long time or in lighting stroke weather.
● Switch off the power when product is not in use to prevent electric shock or
fire.

● This product has been manufactured and tested to comply with each
country’s safety regulations. However, it doesn’t guarantee that interference
would never happen in some specific environment. If interference does occur,
please increase separation between interfering objects with transmitter and
receiver.
● This product tends to be interfered by wireless device with 5GHz frequency,
such as a router or other wireless device. If you have 802.11n router, configure
it to use the 2.4GHz rather than 5GHz.

2.4 Functions
2.1 Overview
1) WHDI transmitter
DF-W208 can be used in two ways. The first is to insert it into HDMI output
device. The other way is to fix it on the back of iPad2 with glues heath.
Connect iPad2 with a cable shifted HDMI to DP and transmit video/audio
signals from iPad2 to HDMI receiver. Users can play games, surf the Internet,
check mails, and make business presentations, enjoy slides, movies, photos
and everything else that fills your iPad2 screen without latency.

video source equipment with HDMI interface such as laptop, PS3 or connect

5.1 WHDI Remote Control and User Guide
Remarks 4: When battery needs charging, LED indicating undervoltage will
start to flash. Connect DF-W208 to power socket with USB adaptor and power
indicting LED will stay green and will be off when battery is fully charged.
Remarks 5: Restart the device when disconnect source equipment or switch
source equipment( long press BUTTON until working indicating LED off).

5.4 Output Devices Name Modification
● Press“menu”button on remote control to show setup menu, choose“modify
video source name” item.
● All available video source will be displayed and use the navigation button on
remote control to locate the device name you want to be modified .
● Use the navigation button on remote control to locate the characters you
want to be modified.
● Press the “OK” button to submit the new name.

5.2 Device Register or Add
● Connect transmitter and receiver to output equipment and display
equipment separately.
● Use the remote control on receiver terminal.
-Click “menu” button or “add” button to show setup interface and choose
“add new video source”
● “Please Activate Registration on Transmitter Unit” item will be shown on
display equipment.
● Short press (within 1 s) register button of transmitter, and link LED flashes
● The receiver will show available device name and confirming information.
Use WHDI remote control to press OK
● Display equipment will show progress bar about register.
● The register will complete in 50 seconds.
● Network will be connected automatically and transmit audio and video
signals after registration.
● A maximal of 8 devices can be added as the steps mentioned above.
5.6 Connection
● Ensure power supply is normally provided. Connect transmitter to source
devices and turn the switch on.
● Transmitter will search source devices automatically. Use remote control to
locate desired source devices and press “OK”, then it would be connected.
6 Software Update
1) Open Bootloader Manager ; connect WHDI transmitter to PC by USB cable
2) The device information will be shown on the software when the device is
successfully connected.
3) Click [browse] button in “update APP area”, then choose the file you want
to be updated; press [update APP],after system update is successful, there will
pop up a dialog box to inform update is complete.
4) If the system prompts failed update or other unsuccessful update
information, please check if the USB cable is connected and try it again.
5) The same way is also applied to MAC update. Click [browse] button in
“update Mac Area, then choose the file you want to be updated. If theupdate
is successful, system will show a box to inform update is successful.
5.3 Delete Device
Please note:
● Press “source” button on remote control to choose the device you want to
be deleted.
● Press “delete” or “menu” to select “remove video source”
● Select the device to be deleted and press “ok”
● After deleting the device, press “source” to ensure the device has been
deleted.
● Other devices can be also deleted as the above procedures
7 Troubleshooting

Please make sure all the devices are properly connected and receiver is not in
standby mode before you follow the troubleshooting guide below.
No video
1、Check the status of LED, and check if the HD media
player works normally.
2、Check if the joints and wires are damaged and make
sure they are correctly connected to corresponding
interface.
3、Ensure there is video on output devices.
4、Check the receiver is correctly connected to display
equipment.
5、Make sure all devices are working on supported
distance. Draw them closer and try it again.
Power LED off
1、 Make sure the power adaptor is correctly connected
and the voltage is 5V3A
2、 Make sure the power supply would not be interrupted.
3、 Make sure transmitter is fully powered.

2、 If there are video and audio signal on output devices,
please check the indicating LED to see if something got
wrong with it.
3、 Make sure the device is working within the supported

2、Check if the receiver is correctly connected to display
equipment and there is no damage on joints and wires.
3、Make sure all devices are working on supported
distance. Draw them closer and try it again.

If any other problems occur, please restart the device
and make connections again.
8 Safety instructions
Keep this product away from metal furniture or explosive materials. Put it on
steady places and make sure there is no safety hazard around joints.
Do not use this product near water or on environments with a lot of dust.
Avoid exposing it on too low or too high temperatures.
Always use the DC power adaptors supplied, if there is a need of replacement
,ensure the alternatives have the same output rating of 5V 3A .
Do not let any heavy stuffs rest on this product. Ensure a proper ventilation is
provided at installation site. Never insert any objects into holes or ventilation
slots.

To save energy, please turn off the switches on the power adaptor leads or
unplug the power adaptor from the power sockets when the product is not
working.
Restart the device if it is damaged in any way or if it does not work normally.
And if it still cannot work, please power off and consult the dealer. Do not
open the equipment and repair it without authorization.
Cleaning：Turn off and unplug the product before performing any cleaning
and use only a lightly dampened soft cloth to wipe it. Do not use chemical
solvents or strong detergents as these may damage the surface.
● To prevent electric shock, do not remove any cover.
● Any maintenance should ask professionals for help.
● Do not expose this equipment to dripping or splashing.
● Never use this product near fire or any heat source.
● Do not let kids play with this product.

10 CE ID Warning
1. Due to the used enclosure material, the device shall only be connected to a
USB
Interface of version 2.0 or higher. The connection to so called power USB is
prohibited.
2.Do not use the device in the environment at too high or too low
temperature,
never expose the mobile phone under strong sunshine or too wet
environment.
The suitable temperature for the phone is 0℃ -45℃ .

has been calculated based on a distance of d=20 cm between the device and

2 产品简介
USB A- 迷你数据线
2.1 产品说明
DF-W208 有两种应用，一是可以直接插入带 HDMI 输出的高清音视频源设备，
一是可以通过胶套固定在 iPad2 的背面，用 HDMI 转 DP 的电缆接到 ipad2，将
iPad2 输出的视频 / 音频传输到 HDMI 接收器上，能够直接传输所有 iPad2 显示
内容到接收端显示设备上。商务演示、播放幻灯片、播放影视、播放图片等，可以
投射到高清电视显示器上播放，并且无任何延时。
用户使用手册
1) WHDI 发射端

注 4：在使用过程中，如果发现欠压指示灯开始闪烁，则表示当前电池电量不足，
需 要 为电池充电。使用单口 USB 适配器，通过 迷 你 USB 线 连 接 到 DF-W208 的
USB 接口上。DF-W208 处于充电状态时，充电指示灯会亮绿灯，电池充满后，电
源指示灯熄灭。
注 5：每次断开视频源或者切换视频源时，必须重新开机，即长按 BUTTON 按键
直到工作指示灯 SYS 灭，让其 TX 和 RX 设备重新建立连接。
● HDMI 输出端通过 HDMI 线直接与显示设备（显示器、电视机等）相连；
● 电源接口直接与电源适配器（5V 3A）相连，进行供电。

5.4 修改设备源名称
● 点击 WHDI 遥控器上“MENU”按键选择显示界面上出现的“Modify video
source name”
● 选择要修改名称的设备源 , 点击 WHDI 遥控器上的向下键或者向上键进行修改
● 点击 WHDI 遥控器上的向右键和向左键选择要修改的字符
● 修改完成后点击 OK 确认，即完成修改设备名称
5.5 断开网络连接
● 点 击 WHDI 遥 控 器 上“MENU” 按 键 选 择 显 示 界 面 上 出 现 的“Disconnect
Wireless link”
● 点击 WHDI 遥控器上“OK”按键确认断开按钮
● 显示界面上出现“Wireless off”则设备网络断开
5.6 设备连接
● 在确定电池供电正常的情况下，发射端接上视频源，拨码开关置于“ON”
● 发射器自动搜索视频源，通过遥控器选择相应的视频源并按“OK”键连接相应
视频源即可
5.2 设备的注册或者添加
● 将发射器和接收器分别连接上源设备和显示设备
● 在接收端使用遥控器：
- 点击“Menu”按钮或者点击“Add”按钮，在“Setup”界面
选择“Add new video source”
● 显示设备上出现“Please Activate Registration on Transmitter Unit”
● 短按（1s 以内）发射器的注册按键，工作指示灯快闪
● 在接收端搜索到设备后，显示设备上出现确认信息
● 在接收端使用遥控器，点击 OK
● 显示设备上出现注册的进度条
● 大约 50 秒左右注册成功
● 注册成功后，网络自动连接，并且开始传输音频视频信号
● 按照上述同样的步骤可以添加多个设备源，最多可以添加八个设备源
5.3 删除设备
● 点击 WHDI 遥控器上“Source”按键，确认要删除的设备
● 点击 WHDI 遥控器上的“Delete”按键或者“MENU”按键选择显示界面上出
现的
“Remove video source”
● 出现设备源后，选择要删除的设备，点击“OK”按键，设备进行删除
● 删除设备成功后，点击 WHDI 遥控器上“Source”按键，可以确认设备源已经
被删除

6 产品软件升级
1) 打开 Bootloader Manager 软件，用 USB 线将 W208 发射端与 PC 机连接起来；
2) 设备连接成功后会在管理软件界面显示出相关的设备信息；
3) 点击“升级系统软件应用层的操作区域”中的【浏览】按钮，然后选择要升级
的系统文件，点击【升级系统】，升级完成后会出现升级成功提示框；
4) 如果您在升级的过程中出现“升级失败”或相关的失败提示，请确认 USB 线缆
连接正常，WHDI 发射端连接正常后，再次进行升级；
5) 同样的连接方法升级 MAC, 点击“升级 MAC 硬件层的操作区域”中的【浏览】
按钮，然后选择要升级的 MAC 文件，点击【升级 MAC】按钮，升级完成后会出
现升级成功提示框；

7 故障排除
● 请勿滴水或其它液体在该产品上。
● 请勿直接将该产品靠近火源。
● 请勿让儿童独自使用或玩耍。
没有图像
1、 查看连接状态灯，查看高清设备源是否工作正常，其相
应的输入输出正常；
2、 确保接口以及连接线未被损坏，且连接和相应的端口正
确；
3、 确保在设备的发射端有图像输出，且输出端口正确；
4、 确保接收端和显示设备的连接正常，且接口连接和选择
正确；确保工作距离在设备所支持的范围，若已经超出
该值，请将距离拉近再进行连接。
电源灯不亮
1、 确保接收端电源接口连接正确，且电源适配器为 5V3A
的直流输出电源；
2、 确保电源能正常工作；
3、 确保发射端电池电量充足。

1、 确保发射端的高清设备源有输出，且输出正常；
2、 若接收端有音视频，工作正常，说明灯本身有问题；
3、 确保工作距离在设备所支持的范围内。

3、 确保工作距离在设备所支持的范围，若已经超出该值，
请将距离拉近再进行连接。
1、 重启发射端，再次连接；
2、 确保在接收端 1 米范围内没有同频段 (4.9 ～ 5.9GHz)
的其它设备的干扰。
1、 如果遇到以上故障之外的情况，请尝试重启 WHDI 发射
端端和接收端重新建立连接。
8 安全注意事项
放置时请勿靠近冰箱、洗衣机等金属家具，或是易燃易爆等物品，也不要将其放在
不平稳的平面上。确保连接线的连接处不会造成其他的危险及不方便。
请勿将其放置在极度多尘、潮湿及水溅之处，也不要将其放置在温度过高或是过低、
阳光直射之处。
其供电方式仅有直流电源提供的，若需更换电源，请确保所更换的有 5V 3A 等指标，
以免造成不可挽回的错误。
请勿覆盖或放置其他重物，确保产品周围的空气流通性，或用其他物品堵塞散热口。
为了节省能源，若您不使用时，请关闭电源开关，或从电源插座上拔出电源适配器。
如若产品有任何损坏或不正常工作，请重启，若仍不能正常工作，请关闭电源，咨
询或送专业技术人员进行维修或处理。请勿自行打开请进维修。
