2. Monitor Parts 3. Connecting to PCTo attach the TFT-LCD monitor to the system, please follow the instructionshereunder1. Connect 15-Pin D-SUB cable to the computer system. Tighten all the screws.2. Connect 15-pin D-SUB cable to the appropriate connector on the back of themonitor 3. Connect DC power adapter cable to the power input connector on the back ofthe monitor 4. Connect one end of the AC power cord to the DC power adapter and theother end to the AC power outlet5. Turn on the monitor 6. TroubleshootingNo image on the screen■The VGA cable should be completely connected to the monitor and computer.■The display card should be completely seated in its slot.■Power switch and computer power switch should be in the ON position.■Check to make sure that a supported mode has been selected on the displaycard or system being used. (Please consult display card or system manual tochange graphics mode.)■Check to make sure that the refresh rate is 60Hz.■Check the monitor and display card with respect to compatibility andrecommended settings.■Check the VGA cable connector for bent or pushed-in pins.Power button does not respond■Unplug the power cord of the monitor from the AC outlet, wait 10 to 20minutes, then plug the power cord into the AC outlet. This will reset themonitor and power supply.LED on monitor is amber (with no image on the screen)■The signal cable should be completely connected to the monitor andcomputer.■Make sure whether the computer is in a power-saving mode (touch thekeyboard or mouse)Image is unstable, unfocused ■VGA cable should be completely connected to the computer■Use OSD controls to focus and adjust display by increasing or decreasing thephase or frequency control. - When display mode is changed, OSD re-adjustment may be needed.■Check the monitor and display card with respect to compatibility andrecommended signal timings. 239. Recommended UseFOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING WHENSETTING UP AND USING THE TFT-LCD MONITOR.■DO NOT OPEN THE MONITOR. Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous shock hazards orother risks. Once you open it the warranty voids■Do not put anything on top of the monitor■Do not spill any liquids into the cabinet or use your monitor near water■Do not place this monitor on a sloping or unstable cart, stand or table, asthe monitor may fall down and cause serious damage to it■If you connect or disconnect the VGA cable while both of PC’s and LCDmonitor’s power is turned on, the monitor might show some garbage on thescreen or could be damaged. Please turn off the TFT-LCD monitor’s powerbefore connecting or disconnecting VGA cable ■Handle with care when transporting. Save package for transporting.■Do not touch or press the surface of the LCD panel as it might cause apermanent damage. Use only soft cloth with non-ammonia glass cleaner to clean the panel.■Handle with care when you connected a strap to the two rings at the upperleft and the upper right sides of the monitor22
25Display is not sized properly■Use OSD horizontal controls to increase or decrease the size.■Check to make sure that a supported mode and signal timing has beenselected on the display card or system being used.
