Edit/Édition
This is the function used to delete files from the internal memory or to copy files from
an external device to the internal memory. To copy files, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Main menu.
2. Select “EDIT”, press ENTER.
3. Select the device on which the file to be copied is located and press ENTER.
Use the up or down arrows to navigate through your files.
4. Select the files you want to copy by pressing the right arrow. (Marked by a paw.)
5. Press the left arrow to return to the media device menu.
6. Highlight the device the images are to be copied to and press ENTER.
7. Press the COPY/DEL button, select the copy option (briefcase) and press ENTER
8. You should then see a message saying “Finished!” Press ENTER once you see this
message.
Cette fonction sert à copier ou effacer des fichiers depuis la mémoire externe vers la
mémoire interne comme suit :
1. Aller au menu principal.
2. Sélectionner « EDIT » , appuyer sur ENTER.

This function is used to set up personalized operational parameters. Functions include
language, slide show management, clock settings, alarm settings, start-up control
settings, video settings and default settings. Use the up/down buttons to highlight the

Changing the frame
MemoryFrame

comes with changeable frames so you can change the look of the
frame as your décor changes. Follow these instructions to change the frame:
1. Lay the digital frame screen-down on a surface that is flat and smooth to
avoid scratches.

Plug one end of the AC adapter into the digital
photo frame and plug the other end into a
standard AC electrical outlet.

memory card type on the first menu screen by
using the arrow buttons on the remote control.

On the next menu, press SLIDESHOW on the

2. Using the illustration below as a guide and with the help of a number 6
Phillips head screwdriver, remove the 4 screws that fasten the frame to the
unit. Lift the digital frame unit up, turn it over, and lay it down in another
area. The frame should be left on the protected surface. Note the location of
the hole in the matte.
3. Lift the removed frame from the surface. Replace this frame with the new
frame, making sure the orientation of the hole in the new frame is the same
as it was on the removed frame.
4. Lift the digital frame unit up, turn it back over, and place it over the frame.
Align the mounting holes and line up the optical sensor on the unit with the
hole on the matte.
5. Use the four screws that were removed to fasten the new frame. The unit is
now ready for display.
Comment changer le cadre

quatre vis qui fixent le cadre à l'unité. Soulever l'unité numérique du cadre,
la retourner et la reposer ailleurs. Le cadre doit rester sur la surface protégée.
Noter l'emplacement du trou dans le passe-partout.
3. Soulever le cadre de la surface. Remplacer ce cadre par le nouveau cadre.
Vérifier que l'orientation du trou du nouveau cadre est la même que celle du
précédent.
4. Soulever l'unité numérique, la retourner et la placer sur le cadre, en alignant
les trous de fixation et en vérifiant que le capteur optique de l'unité est en
face du trou du passe-partout.
5.
Fixer le nouveau cadre avec les quatre vis retirées précédemment L'unité est
maintenant prête pour l'affichage.
Connecting to the USB ports/Connexion des ports USB
The MemoryFrame 1040 Plus has both a USB port for connection to a PC and a port for
connection to other devices such as thumb drive, USB card reader, and camera. When
connected to the PC you can drag and drop content from the PC to the internal memory.
You can also delete content from the internal memory. The other USB port supports

This is the function used to play a movie clip. From the main menu, select "Movie"
and press ENTER. On the second screen select the device or memory where the file is
located (the media named “MEMORY” is the internal memory). Press ENTER to
access the device or memory. The third screen shows the name of the clips available
on the selected device or in the selected memory. Press ENTER to Play. The clip will
begin to play. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause the clip. A screen will
temporarily appear over the clip confirming the clip was paused along with the pause
time; the screen will reappear when play resumes. Press the MENU button to end the
clip and return to the main menu.

This is the function used to view text files (.txt). These are files which are readable in
ASCII format. From the main menu select "Text" and press ENTER. On the second
screen select the device or memory where the file is located. (the media named
“MEMORY” is the internal memory). Press the ENTER button to access the device
or memory. The third screen shows the name of each text file located on the selected
device or in the selected memory. Press the ENTER button to Play. This will show the
text information on the screen. Use the Up and Down buttons to navigate through
lines, and the right and left arrow buttons to navigate through pages. Press the MENU
button to close your file and return to the main menu.

This is the function used to play an MP3 audio file. From the main menu select
“Music” and press ENTER. On the second screen select the device or memory where
the file is located (the media named “MEMORY” is the internal memory). Press the
ENTER button to access the device or memory. The third screen shows the name of
the MP3 files located on the selected device or in the selected memory. Press the
ENTER button to play. The MP3 file will begin to play. Press the PLAY/PAUSE
button to pause the file. A control screen will appear identifying the file information
and controls while playing as shown below. Use the arrow buttons to navigate through
the desired controls. Press the MENU button to close the file and return to the main
menu.

This is the function used to play an audio slide show. In order to do so, the MP3 file
must be located on the same device or in the same memory as the image files. In this
manner MP3 audio will be played in the background while a slide show is playing.
From the Main Menu select “Combo” and press ENTER. On the second screen select
the device or memory where the files are located (the media named “MEMORY” is
the internal memory). Press the ENTER button to access the device or memory.The
third screen shows the name of the image and MP3 located on the selected device or
in the selected memory. Press the ENTER button to play. The slide show will begin to
play along with the selected audio track. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause the
slide show. The audio will continue to play. Press the MENU button to end the slide
show and return to the main menu.

memories or manage the content to be played. The layout is designed for maximum

button to access device or memory. The third screen shows the name of the images on
the selected device or in the selected memory. Press the ENTER button to Play. The
slide show will begin to play, beginning with the selected image. Press the
PLAY/PAUSE button to change to manual mode, where you advance through the
photos by using the arrow buttons. Press the MENU button to end the slide show and
return to the main menu. Use the ZOOM button to zoom in by 20% on each press.
