TO USE ATTACHMENTSAND/OR HOSE Connect adaptor plate/hose to metal nozzleguardby latching the two longer tabs on the adaptor plate with the rear of the nozzle guard.Pivottheadaptorplate/hose upward to latch the two smaller tabs on the adaptorplate with the front of the nozzleguard. Wit_ adaptor plate/hoseconnectedto t_e metal nozzle guard, select the appropriate tool or combination of toolsto attachto the endof the hose. Removedirtcupbytwisting countercloclwvise and pullingaway from uniL Twistoldtiltertoremovefrom filter adaptor. IMPORI"ANT: DO NOT DISCARDFILTER ADAPTOR. \ Return filter assembly to dirt cup. Replacedirt cup by aligning tabs and twisting clockwise until it locks into place, Graspcentertab on filter adapter. Pull out of dirt cup to remove tilter assembly. Twistand lock newtilterintotilter adaptor. TOOLREOUIRED: PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER ANDBELTLIFfER WARNING:TOREDUCETHE RISK OF INJURYFROMMOVINGPARTS- UNPLUGBEFORECHANGING BELTOR BRUSHROLL. TO REATI'ACHBELT With the unit turned off and unplugged, use a phill!ps screwddver to remove the belt doorscrew locatedabove the brushrollwindow. Slide the beltdoordownand angle out to removefrom the uniL Dip the belt lifter insidethe belt access area and hook the belt around the lip of the belt lifter. Slip the belt ontothe motor shaft until the belt lifter base meets the shaft To ensure proper belt placement, gently turn belt lifter counterclockwise and remove. Makesure belt is on shaft Usebeltlifter and holdas shown. Belt should look like the Attachbeltdoorto unitand secure illustrationabove. with screw. IMPORTANT: THE BELTWILL COMEOFFIF NOTPROPERLY INSTALLED. TO REPLACEBROKEN/WORNBELTOR BRUSHROLL With the unit turned off and unplugged,use a phillips screwdrfvar to remove the belt doorscrewlocatedabove the brushmllwindow. Slidethe belt doordownandangleout toremovefrom the unit. Usebelt lifterandholdas shown. 4f / Toremove thebelt,hookthe belt onthe left sideof the motorshaft, turn clockwise and pull the belt towardsyouto release. \_ Removescrewson bottomof metalnozzleguardas shown. Removemetalnozzle guard and pul] brushrolland belt straight out from unit. 4 With the new belt properly located in the channel on the middle of the brushroll, slide the brushrol! straight downintothe uniLNOTE:Make sure the bmshre//end capsalign with the tabsinsidethe brushre//housing (see inset).Brushro// is notsymmetrical,its orientationisimportant. Belt should look like the illustration above. IMPORTANT: THE BELTWILL COMEOFFIF NOTPROPERLY INSTALLED, Attachthe metalnozzleguard, ensuringthat tab is engaged before securing with the screws. Attachbelt doorto unit and securewithscrew. Dipthe belt lifter insidethe belt access area and hook the belt aroundthe lip of the belt lifter. Slip the belt ontothe motorshaft until the belt lifter basemeetsthe shaft. To ensure proper belt placement, gently turn belt lifter counterclockwiseand remove.
