March 31, 2010 City of Portsmouth, New Hampshire Public Works Department Bid #45-10 Market Street Streetscape Improvements Addendum #1 To the attention of all vendors submitting bids for Bid #45-10 Market Street Streetscape Improvements. A. The following paragraph replaces the original paragraph in the bid invitation: The General Contractor will be permitted to subcontract portions of the work not to exceed an aggregate dollar value of 20% of the total contract bid amount in complete accordance with Section 108 of the State of New Hampshire Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Vendor must understand that the aggregate dollar value of 50% for subcontracting is changed to 20% where referenced through out the bid document. B. The original bid proposal pages 11 through 16 are to be replaced with the attached six pages of the proposal form. Two items have been added to the bid proposal pages; items 626 and 632.9. C. On plan sheet 9 it states that a fire hydrant needs to be relocated. This work will be completed by the Portsmouth Water Department and not the bidder. All else remains unchanged from original bid document. Please acknowledge receipt of this addendum within your proposal, failure to do so may subject a bidder to disqualification.
