Alpro Architectural Hardware is an independent supplier of both mechanical and electro-mechanical
products to the UK commercial aluminium OEM marketplace and access control environment.
The Alpro product range comprises a variety of electro-mechanical products designed to meet
the needs of the demanding access control market segment. Products include electric strikes,
deadlocking bolts, shearlocks, cabinet locks, waterproof keypads and exit switches, to name but a
few.
A variety of contemporary handle styles complement this impressive product portfolio, which are both
hard wearing and aesthetically pleasing. The Alpro range also includes deadlocks, deadlatches,
cylinders, concealed door closers, flushbolts, lever and paddle handles. All of which have been
designed for the commercial aluminium door industry.
Alpro’s location in Poole boasts substantial levels of stock, tailored to the fast response times expected
of a quality supplier with Kan-Ban and JIT systems in place. Comprehensive internal and external sales
and technical support is available to ensure the correct selection of product and application.

Rectifier Sounder Module for AC operation IEC-RM1
Enables Alpro strikes to operate with AC
systems.
Enables use of quality strike at greatly
reduced current consumption over
dedicated AC strikes.
Only for use with product with maximum
current load of 1 amp. Not solenoid bolts or
shearlocks for example.

Buzzer function available on DC - on/off.
Allows for silent operation on AC.
Power
Input voltage range is 12-24v AC +/1 15%
There is no polarity on the AC input
Output will always be lower than the input
by 10% approximately. If you require 12v DC
output ensure input is at least 13v AC. Standard
voltmeters will show the output voltage as lower,
this is because the output is not smoothed which
will create false readings on your meter.
Current Load
Maximum current load is 1 amp (1000mA).
Sounder
The sounder will sound whenever an input
voltage is present, if this is not required remove
the link located next to the sounder. Store the
link on the pin, in case you change your mind
and need it later.
Location
This RM1 Rectifier is not designed to work in
damp environments; and MUST BE protected from
moisture. If this is not possible at the device end
of the circuit, the PCB must be removed to a dry
position near the AC power source. The exact
location of the PCB is not critical; the voltage
output will not change significantly.
DC Input
This product will accept a DC input if you only
wanted to use the sounder function. There is still
no polarity on the input and the output polarity
will always be as shown.

The Alpro EB1001 Electric Bolt allows for
remote access and exit control of most
timber and metal doors. It is suitable for
sliding or swing, single and double action
operations. It can be fitted in the frame or
in the door and comes with plug in LED Bolt
indicator as standard.

Built-in Access Control Module
Automatic unlock period - a fixed 8 second period operates once the bolt is signalled to unlock. This
enables traffic exiting 8 seconds in which to open the door before it automatically relocks. See Anti-
Tailgate.
Multiple auto relock function - when relocking the bolt makes 8 locking attempts over 16 seconds. Change
in the Bolt Position Switch status indicates that the door has been locked. Fail open models only.
Multiple unlock - in fail secure mode - 5 attempts to unlock door at 1.6 second intervals.
Anti-Tailgate - once the door has been pushed open and closed during the 8 second unlock period, the
bolt will immediately relock.

The Alpro 1982.35.5 Vortex magnet is designed
for use when a mortice type installation is
required.
When external pressure is applied to open
the magnet and break the hold of the unit,
the pivoting pin head fitted into the electro
magnet holes will initiate an additional locking
from the upward movement of the integrated
ball bearings which hold the pivoting pin
head on the armature plate securely. When
the power is disengaged from the magnet, it
releases its hold on the armature plate and it
returns to its normal state.
The unit requires a filtered and regulated
DC power supply of the correct voltage to
ensure the attraction of the armature plate is
initiated. The unit operates on 12/24vDC and
is complete with two built in SPST reed switch
sensors for remote lock monitoring status and
remote door monitoring status. The overall
holding force of the unit is 1500Kgs.

sliding door mechanisms both automatic

magnet will depend on its fitting arrangement,

Controller will operate in both Secure ‘All Doors Locked’
mode or Convenience ‘All Doors Open’ mode to suit
all applications.

designed to be used in conjunction with the
full range of Alpro access control products.
This proximity switch offers contactless
features offering sterile and hygienic
operation.
The simple swipe of the hand operates the
switch, ensuring no contact is required. A
feature especially important with MRSA
and other infectious bacteria prevalent in
hospitals and other communal areas.
