BVA300 series pneumatic rotary actuators controls & instrumentation BVA300 series pneumatic rotary actuators BVA300 series The BVA300 series pneumatic rotary actuators are manufactured in 12 different sizes. These actuators can be used with either ball valves or butterfly valves for on/off control or modulating control applications. They are provided with two bi-directional travel stops and travel adjustment, with torque figures up to 4 000 Nm. The BVA300 has pre-compressed springs which allows different configurations. In this way, springs can be adapted to different air pressures, facilitating safe, simple and fast maintenance. ISO PED Certificates Spirax Sarco is certified by ISO 9001:2002 BVA310 to BVA335 are classified as Category SEP (PED 97 / 23 / EC) BVA340 to BVA365 are classified as Category 1, procedure module A. BVA300 are classified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres as Group II ATEX Category 2, suitable for zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 in accordance with Annex VIII Directive 94 / 9 / CE. Bi- directional travel stops The BVA300 pneumatic actuators are provided with bi-directional pinion travel stops which allow a travel adjustment between 85° and 95°. These travel stops avoid superfluous forces and torques which otherwise reduce an actuator’s service life. Double acting and single acting BVA300 actuators include labels which identify them. Body labels ATEX EX Proof certification for use in explosive atmospheres is printed on the label.
