Guideline to bidding with Owen Reilly
Register
Find the property you are interested in bidding on by visiting
www.owenreilly.ie
Click the ‘make an offer’ button and register your details. You will be
registering as a buyer in the ‘Who you are?’ section. If you’re registering
for the first time a verification email will be sent to your email address
which you must click.
!
Submit documentation
To comply with money laundering legislation (AML) we require all bidders
to provide proof of ID, proof of address and proof of how you are funding
your offer. If you are buying with a mortgage you must provide proof of
mortgage approval which is normally an Approval in Principle (AIP) letter
from your bank. If funding your purchase with cash, you must provide proof
of cash funds which is normally a bank statement or a letter from your
bank.
We will send you an email notification as soon as your documentation has
been approved. If you are not successful in the bidding process, we will
delete your details from all our records as required under data protection
legislation. You will not be approved as a bidder until you have provided all
required documentation. Upload documents should be in PDF or JPEG
format.
!
Making a bid
Should you wish to place a bid on a property you will need to enter the
amount into the field provided e.g. 360000. You will be asked to confirm
this amount before submitting and you will receive an email confirmation of
your bid. All bids submitted on a property will be available to view along
with a unique ID, the time submitted and status.
There are three status types that may show:
Under review: we are reviewing your bid
Approved: we have approved the bid and will advise other bidders
Accepted: you are the successful bidder. Based on the property value you
will need to provide a booking deposit an email notification will be sent to
you with the details. This offer is subject to contract, and contract denied.
If you are not the successful bidder, you will receive an email notification
advising you that we have accepted another bid. Once an offer is accepted
the property will be marked as Sale Agreed. A record of all bids can be
provided upon request. The bidding process is regulated by the PSR.
Message box
If you have any questions there is a message box available that will email
the negotiator on the property.
