Topic
Discussion
Surfing the internet & other activies during lecture.
This includes:
1. Checking email
2. Doing HW in class (this class or any other)
3. Other internet surfing or other activites
other than engaged in class lecture
discussion activities or taking notes
I find it OFFECIVE and DISRESPECTFUL if
students during the lectures are surfing the web or
engaged in other activities other than class
discussion.
PLEASE DO NOT surf the web or engage in
other activities during the class lectures!!
Doing so will affect your class participation
grade at the end of the semester, in addition to
offending the professor and distracting the class
Your focus should be on the class lecture, taking
notes as needed etc. Keep in mind that with a few
exceptions, everything I will write on the board
will be included in my lecture notes. The idea is
you can focus on the discussion and minimized
other activities that will distract you.
