Topic
Discussion
Surfing the internet & other activies during lecture.
This includes:
1. Checking email
2. Doing HW in class (this class or any other)
3. Other internet surfing or other activites
other than engaged in class lecture
discussion activities or taking notes
▪ I find it OFFECIVE and DISRESPECTFUL if
students during the lectures are surfing the web or
engaged in other activities other than class
discussion.
▪ PLEASE DO NOT surf the web or engage in
other activities during the class lectures!!
▪ Doing so will affect your class participation
grade at the end of the semester, in addition to
offending the professor and distracting the class
▪ Your focus should be on the class lecture, taking
notes as needed etc. Keep in mind that with a few
exceptions, everything I will write on the board
will be included in my lecture notes. The idea is
you can focus on the discussion and minimized
other activities that will distract you.
