CONTROLS PHILOSOPHY

The pre-programmed controller can be configured in the field

to provide either supply air temperature control or return air

temperature control, all sensors are included.

FUNCTIONS

• External ambient temperature measurement

• Free cooling operation

• DX Cooling (where applicable)

• Heat recovery thermal wheel or plate heat exchanger

(where applicable)

• LPHW or Thyristor EHB Heating coils –

proportionally controlled

• Filter dirty alarm contacts

• Remote on/off contacts

• Heater and DX cooling trip indication

• Fan motor overload trip indication

• Inbuilt time clock

• Fire shutdown signal

• Fireman’s switch – smoke extract only

(heat recovery models only).

By using the option adapter PCB DTA103A51 – This panel can

provide on/off and run/trip Indication to the following Daikin

control networks:

• Daikin IntelligentTouch Controller

• Daikin Intelligent Manager

• BACNET

• Lon Gateways.

THE VAP PANELS ARE DESIGNED FOR

INTERNAL MOUNTING

Wall mounted panel with a single door, manufactured to IP55

rating at sheet steel enclosure with either top or bottom

undrilled cable entry gland plate and external mounting brackets.

THE VAW PANELS ARE DESIGNED FOR

EXTERNAL MOUNTING

Wall mounted panel with a single door, manufactured to IP65

rating at GRP enclosure with bottom entry undrilled cable entry

gland plate and external mounting brackets.

The control panels for the Daikin VAP and VAW are supplied to complete our AHU solutions.

ALL PANELS ARE COMPLETE AS INDICATED BELOW

T,P and N. Door interlocked isolator, red spot HRC control fuse,

‘Panel live‘ indicator light, 230 - 24v transformer, 3 Phase DOL

starters for supply and extract fans (where fitted), 24v DC PSU,

‘XD26S’ custom pre-programmed PLC controller with ‘PWM’

0 - 10 V Converter.

The control panel is supplied with all components as necessary

for field installation and wiring on site by others to complete

your AHU installation.

Dependant on the model, we will supply as required all

temperature probes, damper motors, 3 port valves modulating

actuators as required.

FOR UNITS WITH ELECTRIC HEATERS

We will supply a separate Thyristor Wall mounted panel

manufactured to IP55 rating which are constructed of either

sheet steel or GRP. The internal steel panel comes with either

top or bottom undrilled cable entry gland plate, the external

GRP panel comes only with bottom undrilled cable entry gland

plate. Panels are complete with external mounting brackets.

The Thyristor has been designed to take the load of each

specific AHU unit and these panels have a cooling fan with inlet

and outlet filtered vents the panels for the VAW units come

complete with rain protection covers.

SPECIFICATION OF PANELS

The panels are manufactured to conform generally to

‘BS EN 60439-1’ the internal wiring is to the New Harmonised

Colours as set out in Amendment no2 to ‘BS7671:2001’

all wiring will be in accordance with BS6231 colour coded cable

with all ends crimped and ferruled and will be CE marked.
