Service Bulletin Bulletin Number: Revision: Date: Product Description: SB-0041 1-0-0 AUG-2009 CI-BC-4E Clear / Secure switching while in Local mode – CI-BC-4E base control module DE Reference / ECO: CO 6320 Products Affected: CI-BC-4E-00 with switch (PCB 50139-02) Symptoms: Cause: Solution: Parts Required: Procedure: MT-4E Transmitters with an encryption module installed will not switch to secure mode when Local control is enabled. The clear / secure line is missing the required pull-up voltage. Add pull-up circuit to clear / secure lines to TXA / TXB. 1150-4A1002FP, RES., SM, 10K0 0805, 1%, 100ppm (x2) 22 AWG wire approximately 7 cm in length (x2) Connect one wire jumper from front panel SW5 Pin 3 to J64 on main PCB top and another wire jumper from front panel SW6 Pin 3 to J65 on main PCB top (see Figure 1). Also replace R151 and R152 (see Figure 2).
