Turn chair upside down.
Remove 4 bolts that attach the mechanism to bottom of chair.
Take off 2 wood caps on opposite sides of the 5-star base.
Take small block of wood 4” tall and set on table.
Set cylinder on top of wood block and make sure the base is
suspended above the table.
6. Hit base arms next to the cylinder and 5-base will drop off.
7. Turn mechanism upright and suspend cylinder off the edge of table.
8. Take a small head punch (1/4”wide) place on top of heavy lip of
cylinder where it comes through the mechanism.
9. Hit punch with hammer with a good blow. If cylinder does not fall out
move punch to opposite side on cylinder and hit punch with hammer.
10. Repeat step 9 until cylinder falls out

****Caution cylinder may fall on feet.*****
