Parts Information
Service air filters will now be distributed as a kit. The kit will contain the air filter, the new clamp
[92173-1001], and an instruction card. When ordering a new air filter you will receive a kit as shown as the
table below.

Details
As a product improvement, the original air filter clamp (92173-7007) now supersedes to a new clamp
(92173-1001) with a redesigned band. When changing the air filter, replace the original air filter clamp
(92173-7007) with the new clamp (92713-1001).

Replacement Procedure
1. Remove the original air filter and clamp.
2. Install the new air filter and new clamp as
shown on the kit instruction card. Tighten the
clamp.
3. To ensure a proper seal when installing the
new clamp, attempt to rotate the air filter in
the intake tube. If the air filter rotates, tighten
the clamp further and re-test. The clamp
is tight enough when the air filter does not
rotate.
