Cleaningthethermalcamera
Thecamerahousingandlenswillrequireoccasionalcleaning.Y oushould
cleanthelenswhenimagequalitydegradationisnoticedorexcessive
contaminantbuildupisseen.Cleantheinterfacebetweentheyokeandbase
oftentopreventaccumulationofdebrisorsaltdeposits.
Whencleaningthisproduct:
•DoNOTwipethelenswindowwithadrycloth,orwithabrasivematerials
suchaspaperorscrubbrushes,asthiscouldscratchthecoating.
•DoNOTuseacidorammoniabasedproducts.
•DoNOTpressurewash.
Particularcareshouldbetakenwhencleaningthelenswindow,thishasa
protectiveanti-reectivecoatingwhichmaybedamagedbyimpropercleaning.

2.Cleanthecamerabodywithaclean,softcottoncloth.Y oucanmoisten
theclothanduseamilddetergentifrequired.
3.Cleanthecameralens.
•Rinsethelenswithfreshwatertoremovealldirtparticlesandsalt
deposits,andallowtodrynaturally.
•Ifanyspotsorsmearsremain,verygentlywipethelenswindowwith
acleanmicrobreclothorsoftcottoncloth.
•Ifnecessary,useisopropylalcohol(IPA)oramilddetergenttoremove
anyremainingspotsormarks.
Inspectingthethermalcamera
Routinelyinspectthecameraanditsmountingsurfacetoensurethatit
isinstalledsecurely,thatthecoatedsurfacesareintact,andthatthere
arenosignsofcorrosion.
Whenthecameraispoweredoff,graspitrmlyatthebaseandconrm
itisrigidandsecure.Thenholdthecameraabovethebaseandconrm
itwillrotatefreelyandwithoutnoticeablewobbleorloosenessaroundthe
panbearing.

betweenequipmentandminimizetheeffectsuchinterferencecouldhave
ontheperformanceofyoursystem
CorrectinstallationisrequiredtoensurethatEMCperformanceisnot
compromised.
Note:InareasofextremeEMCinterference,someslightinterferencemay
benoticedontheproduct.Wherethisoccurstheproductandthesource
oftheinterferenceshouldbeseparatedbyagreaterdistance.
ForoptimumEMCperformancewerecommendthatwhereverpossible:

–Atleast1m(3ft)fromanyequipmenttransmittingorcablescarrying
radiosignalse.g.VHFradios,cablesandantennas.InthecaseofSSB

themaximumpossibledistancefromanycompasses.T ypicallythisdistance
shouldbeatleast1m(3ft)inalldirections.Howeverforsomesmaller

presetsprovide4additionalsettingsthatmayprovidebetterimageryin
