GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS & INFORMATION
1.
Online applications are invited in the prescribed format for the recruitment of faculty in various
departments of the institute against the advertisement (Advt. No.
NITW/Faculty / Advt-005 dated 21-11-2017). Detailed education qualification, experience and
other criteria for selection shall be as per the Schedule “E” of the Statutes of NIT Warangal (Ref.
Gazette of India No.651 dated July 24, 2017,) and Recommendations of the Anomaly
Committee on new Recruitment rules for Faculty in NITs and IIEST (Ref. F. No. 33-
9/2011/TS. III dated: 6th October, 2017 and Ref. F. No. 33-9/2011/TS. III dated: 17th
November, 2017. Details are available on the website of the institute: https://www.nitw.ac.in

Candidates who have applied for earlier notification Advt. No. NITW/Faculty / Advt-
002/003/004 dated 21-09-2017, need not apply.

Candidates are requested to go through the details of posts and instructions available on the
website carefully before applying. For further details regarding eligibility, qualifications, category
of posts and other criteria for selection please visit the Institute website
https://www.nitw.ac.in.Last date of submission of online application is 4.12.2017.

Candidates need to apply online and also submit hard copy of the application. The hard copy of
the submitted application along with the requisite fee and all relevant supporting self-attested
documents must reach the office of the Registrar, National Institute of Technology Warangal,
Warangal - 506004 on or before 08.12.2017, Friday 5.30 pm. Non-refundable application fee of
Rs.1000/- for General & OBC candidates and Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates should be paid
through online by NEFT in the name of DIRECTOR, NIT WARANGAL to the institute Bank Account
No.52109375198, State Bank of India, NIT Warangal Branch, IFSC code:SBIN0020149, Swift
Code: SBHYINBB018, SBIN, MICR Code: 506002030.

Indian Nationals applying from abroad can pay their application fee US $25 (for All categories)
in the name of DIRECTOR, NIT WARANGAL to the institute Bank Account No. 52109375198,

MICR Code: 506002030.

For Indian Nationals applying from abroad, the hard copy of the submitted application along with
proof of application fee and all relevant supporting self-attested documents must reach the office
of the Registrar, National Institute of Technology Warangal, Warangal-506004 on or before
08.12.2017, Friday, 5.30 pm.

Separate application must be submitted for each post.
8.
The date for determining eligibility of candidates in every respect shall be the closing date for
receipt of application forms (i.e. 4th December, 2017).
9.
The Institute has the right to set higher norms than minimum prescribed and the areas of
specialization while short listing, taking into account the specific requirements of the individual
departments. The short listing norms may not be uniform across the departments of the Institute
and shall be binding on the applicants. MHRD guidelines received from time to time for this
purpose will be followed. The decision of the institute related to all matters pertaining to the
recruitment shall be final and binding on the applicants.
The list of short listed candidates will be displayed on the website of the institute. Candidates
are advised to visit the website https://www.nitw.ac.in regularly.
10.
Higher starting pay and /or AGP may be offered to deserving candidates on the recommendation
of the selection committee at the discretion of the Board of Governors.
11.
All applications which are not in prescribed form / without relevant supporting enclosures will
be rejected outright. No correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
12.
Institute will not be responsible, under any circumstances, for any sort of postal delay/loss.
13.
Persons serving in Government / Semi- Government / PSUs / Universities / Educational
Institutions should send their applications either THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL or should furnish
a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the competent authority at the time of interview. They can,
however, send advance copy of completed application form.
14.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending test/interview.
15.
For SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates, the application form should be with a copy of the
relevant caste certificate. For OBC candidates, Non - Creamy Layer status issued by the
competent authority empowered for the purpose not prior to 31-March-2017, as a proof in
support of the caste claim is essential. No other certificate will be accepted as sufficient proof. If
caste certificate or non-creamy layer is not attached, the application will be considered in
General.
16.
The persons with disability (PWD) shall be required to produce medical certificate in the
prescribed form issued by the competent medical authorities for the purpose of employment.
Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the disability shall only be eligible for the benefit of
reservation, if any, and other relaxations as permissible under the rules. If appropriate certificate
is not attached, the application will be considered in General.
17.
Reservation policy for faculty positions at entry level will be applicable as per the directives of
the Department of Higher & Technical Education, Ministry of the HRD, Government of India.
18.
More than six months of experience in relevant regular position in any organization will only be
considered for total experience.
19.
Original documents and ID proof (Adhaar /Passport/Voter ID/PAN Card) will have to be produced
at the time of interview, else interview will not be conducted.
20.
The envelope containing the application be super scribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF
.............................DEPARTMENT......................................”.
21.
Selection committee may offer lower faculty position, than the post for which he / she has applied
for. The Institute reserves the right to modify / defer or cancel the advertisement/ recruitment
at any stage of processing without assigning any reasons.
22.
Legal disputes, if any, with National Institute of Technology, Warangal, will be restricted within
the jurisdiction of Hyderabad High Court only.
23.
The candidate is responsible for the correctness of the information provided in the application. If
it is found, at a later date, that any information given in the application is incorrect / false, the
candidature / appointment is liable to be cancelled / terminated.
24.
