Leases: Students should be sure that
they understand all the terms of the
lease before they sign it. A lease is a
legally binding document, and the
landlord may take legal action
against a tenant if the terms of the
lease are broken.
Deposits: Students may be required
to pay a security deposit when they
sign a lease. This deposit may be as
much as one month’s rent.
Additional deposits will be required
for a telephone and for utilities.
