HelloWorld High Library Management
System Install Guide
1. MAKE SURE THAT:
C:\EthanPrice_Ellensburg_WA_FBLA_Coding.zip folder is
unzipped (extracted) directly under your C:\ drive
The application was created to be under a specific
directory; please ensure that the folder:
C:\EthanPrice_Ellensburg_WA_FBLA_Coding exists or
the program will not work. You should see the
following directories:
2. After making sure that the
C:\EthanPrice_Ellensburg_WA_FBLA_Coding folder is under
the C:\ drive, double-click the folder titled “scripts”.
3. Once in the folder called “scripts”, Double click the file
named: 1_python_silent_install
4. After you double click the file please, DO NOT CLOSE
THE PROMPTS THAT APPEAR!!!
NOTE: Eventually, you will be prompted with an “install
wizard” screen for the Python Connector. Click “Next” on
every step, ONLY TAKING DEFAULTS! After it finishes,
click “Ok”. It will close on its own.
5. AFTER the prompt from the previous step closes, double-
click the next file: 2_django_install. AGAIN DO NOT CLOSE
THIS PROMPT IT WILL CLOSE ON ITS OWN
(Takes 2-5 Minutes)
6. After this, double-click 3_startsdbervice. This will open a
python prompt that will continue to stay open. DO NOT
CLOSE THIS; IT STAYS OPEN
*The Database Running*
7. Finally, double-click the last file titled 4_start_django_server
This will run the server. YOU MUST HAVE THE SERVER
RUNNING TO VIEW THE WEBSITE PROJECT.
DO NOT CLOSE THIS; IT STAYS OPEN
To look inside the python/HTML scripts that make up
the website go to:
C:\EthanPrice_Ellensburg_WA_FBLA_Coding\django
-apps\libraryproject2
All of the scripts are under the “libraryapp” folder and
“libraryproject2” folder.

THE STABILITY OF THE SOFTWARE IS NOT
GUARANTEED IF ANY CHANGES ARE MADE
TO THE SCRIPTS INSIDE THESE FOLDERS!
