COATED INSULATION BOARDS (INSBOARD) Using Warmup® Insulation Boards with underfloor heating can lower your running costs by as much as 50% while reducing your carbon footprint. In fact, they can pay for themselves in as little as 2.5 years.* Warmup® Insulation Board is a water resistant, insulated tile backer board made of extruded Warmup Insulation Board Size Guide polystyrene, faced on both sides with a fibreglass THICKNESS (mm) WIDTH (mm) LENGTH (mm) WEIGHT (kg) R VALUE (m2.K/W) INSBOARD6MM 6 600 1250 1.95 0.16 INSBOARD(PK1) 10 600 1250 2.22 0.28 INSBOARD20MM 20 600 1250 2.48 0.58 INSBOARD50MM 50 600 1250 3.26 1.50 MODEL mesh embedded into a thin cement polymer mortar. The board is designed to withstand a load of 30 tonnes per square metre and is ideal for use with underfloor heating as it prevents the heat from penetrating down into the substrate below. As a wall tile backer board, tiles can be fixed directly onto the surface without prior preparation and, being totally waterproof, is suitable for wet areas Accessories Glass Fibre Tape - The tape helps prevent any movement and is used to cover the joints. One roll per 25 boards. such as bathrooms and wet rooms. The boards have a tile load weight of 62kg/m2, to support heavy tiles. Features and Benefits: • • • • Highly Efficient - Can reduce underfloor heating heat up times to less than 30 minutes as opposed to 2+ hours without insulation** Value - can pay for itself in as little as 2.5 years*,** Sole Source of Heat - Allows Warmup to be the sole source of heat in properties built to current building regulations (a heat loss calculation is always required) Effective - Reduces running costs • • • • Structural Benefits - High compressive strength and waterproofing properties Satisfaction - Enhances customer satisfaction by reducing heat-up times Cost Savings - Reduces the need for additional heat source on the whole project Improved Tile Adhesion - High grab factor. Does not delaminate *Assumes a system running twice a day for two hours on a concrete subfloor **Source: Warmup tests performed to EN442-2 standards, using 10mm board Technical Data: • • • • • • • • • Board dimensions: 1250mm x 600mm Area: 0.75 m2 Density: 36 kg/m3 Compressive strength: 3.0 kg/cm2 (300kN/m2) Water absorption (capillary): Nil Board thickness: 6mm, 10mm, 20mm, 50mm Water vapour permeability (Sd): 3.2m Resistance to body impact: 3x120N/m Bending stiffness, EI: (20mm) 601kNmm2 (30mm) 1285 kN/mm2 • • • • • • • • • Tile loading weight 62kg/m2 No primer required when used in conjunction with underfloor heating Bond strength: 0.3N/mm2 Shear bond strength: 3.32/kg/cm2 Thermal conductivity: 0.027 W/mK Coefficient of linear expansion: 30 x 10-6 K-1 Class “O” / “B1” fire rated Fire ignitability: “P” not easily ignitable Impact sound reduction: dLw = 21 Warmup Plc | 702 Tudor Estate Abbey Road London NW10 7UW | Tel +44208 453 6868 | Fax +44208 453 6869 | E-mail int@warmup.com | Web www.warmup.co.uk The WARMUP word and associated logos are trade marks. © Warmup Plc. 2015 - Regd.
