1000 Series Knob Pushbutton Locks

This series is ideal for limiting access in high-traﬃc areas. Two access control functions are available in

addition to standard combination access control:

• Key Override: Allows a facility to maintain or initiate a keyed-alike security system with the same key

system already in use. The key is normally only in the hands of security or management personnel and

will override the lock’s combination to gain entry.

• Passage Feature: Allows access without using the entry code (keeps the door unlocked even while closed).

This function is on the inside of the door, and can be activated by either a thumbturn or a key (Thumb-

turn and key included with all passage feature models).

SPECIFICATIONS:

• Heavy duty cylindrical lock housing conforms to ANSI 156.2 Grade 1 & DOD 5220.22M.

• Door thickness: 1-3/8" to 2-1/4".

• Handing: all 1000 Series locksets are factory prepared for left hand doors. Hand is ﬁeld reversible.

• Minimum stile required for mounting: 5" (127mm).

• Dimensions: front housing - 7-3/8"L x 3-1/8"W x 3-13/16"D.

• Latch/Backset: UL/ULC 3-hour rated 1/2" (16mm) throw latch bolt with 2-3/4" backset and ﬂoating face-

plate.

• Designed for high frequency use, wherever limited access is re-

quired.

• Complies with handicapped and ﬁre codes.

• Easy installation: new inside trim plate adds to the ease of instal-

lation and aesthetic appeal.

• One Hand Operation: Depress the correct buttons in the proper

sequence and push the lever downwards to retract the ﬁre-rated,

UL listed deadlocking latch.

Passage Set Option

The key cylinder (A) shown is the standard

control for changing combinations on the

Unican Series 1000 & L1000. The optional

passage set (B) shown below the key

cylinder, allows the lock to be opened

without using the push-button combina-

tion. This is valuable when a door is to be

left unlocked for extended periods. The

optional passage set comes ordered with

a thumbturn activator, as shown, or with

a key cylinder activator.

LP1000 Series Push Button Lever Exit Device Control

• Replaces key cylinder on new or existing sur-

face mounted exit devices.

• Can be used with a variety of manufacturer’s

rim mounted exit devices (See Kaba web

site).

• Exit device not included with unit.

• 2-3/4" long tailpiece to operate exit device

from the outside.

• Installation may require recessing LP1000

thru-bolts.

• Up to 60° hub rotation, counterclockwise for

left hand and clockwise for right hand

• Exit device may be “dogged”.

• Door thickness: 1-3/8" to 2-1/4"

3000 integrates with the existing key cylinder.

The Series 3000 consists of a lock housing and

one of four drive assemblies (sold separately).

• Allows key bypass for management.
