extra space. Metsä Wood Finnlife® log cabins allow you to
spill out into the garden and make the most of the space
you already have.
The quality of design and manufacture is second to none
and yet they are surprisingly easy to build. Here at last is
your very own gymnasium and sauna, your quiet garden
hideaway or party zone, your garage, your art studio or
your home office. Some cabins may require planning
permission, please contact your local council for details.

QUALITY CONSTRUCTION
* RIEKKO, PEILI, AND VALO HAVE EXTERIOR GRADED BOARD ROOFS AND FLOORS.
All Metsä Wood Finnlife® log cabins are produced from the highest quality
Nordic softwood, sourced from well managed and sustainable forestry.
Log thicknesses vary from 19mm to 44mm depending on the model, and all provide a solid
and durable structure to enjoy. All come with a range of quality fittings and most are finished
with green shingle tile roof coverings and have tongue and grooved fitted roof and floor
boards as standard. The log cabins are adaptable and some can be enhanced by adding a
sauna, underfloor heating, insulation kit, flooring pack, guttering kit and security alarm.

step-by-step plans (supplied with each cabin) to guide you through every
stage of construction is simple and straightforward.
The result is a professional-looking job that you’ll be proud to call your own. The diagrams
shown below are intended to give you a feel as to how simple these cabins are to build.
However you should refer to supplied instructions before assembly.
No problem if you don’t have the time or the inclination to do the job yourself –
any reputable builder could do the job for you.

these ready-to-assemble indoor saunas. They are ideal
either in the home or fitted in one of our cabins. Each
kit contains everything you need to soothe away the
stresses and strains of modern life: sauna stove, sauna
stones, benches, sauna guard, thermometer, bronze
tinted glass door, copper ladle and copper bucket.

WOOD STAIN & PROTECTOR
The full range of Osmo Exterior Wood Stain & Protector is available
for all the cabins featured in this brochure. This treatment offers
weatherproofing, UV resistance, protection against algae and mildew
and is water repellent. It provides a satin-matt finish in just 2 coats with
a 2.5 litre tin covering an area of 30m2*. It is available in 5 colours:

UNDERFLOOR HEATING KITS
Underfloor heating is economic and controllable at
the touch of a button, an ideal optional extra when
purchasing your cabin. It fits on any subfloor and
under any floor covering as a primary heat source.
The system is easy to lay and requires a Part P
qualified electrician to complete the installation.
INSULATION KITS
These insulation kits will dramatically reduce the heat normally lost through
your cabin roof and floor. This kit contains sufficient insulation and fixings for
both floor and roof. The kits are easy to fit and come with all the necessary
components including insulation sheet material, battening and timber panels.
FLOORING PACKS
Each pack provides sufficient flooring to cover the entire ground floor of the
cabin. Easy to maintain, hygienic and highly durable, laminate flooring utilises
a precise installation locking system and is available in an Oak finish.

SECURITY ALARM
This compact and easy to install motion detector
alarm gives added security to your cabin. The passive
infrared beam detects movement up to 20 feet away
and emits an ultra loud 125dB siren, whilst the
automatic telephone dialler* (to 3 programmable
numbers) means it will automatically contact you
should an intrusion occur.
* Note: Wired or wireless telephone connection required
GUTTERING KITS
Most cabins have optional
guttering kits, complete with
fitting instructions and all fixings
(some cutting may be required).
The gutters are finished in dark
brown and complement the
natural colour of your cabin.
