Released initially only in educational markets, the 5200 LC was powered by a 75 Mhz 603 processor, a lower voltage variant of the 601, and came in a restyled LC 550 all-in-one case. It sold for $2000, and was replaced in April 1996 by the faster 5260, which had a 100 Mhz 603e and was available in consumer markets (The 5260 had a smaller 14" Monitor.). The 5200 was also released in Apple's Performa line as the Performas 5200CD, 5210CD, 5215CD, 5220CD, 5260CD, 5270CD, 5280CD, 5300CD and 5320CD, each of which had different hardware and software bundles. There was also a 5300 LC and 5320 LC released to the educational market, which had the same design but with 100 and 120 Mhz 603e's, respectively and different hardware and software bundles. all have now been discontinued.
