Minnesota One Volleyball Presents: 16th Annual Mizuno Series 2014 Mizuno M1 Volleyball Tournaments Mizuno M1 Series events are held at the M1 Volleyball Training Center in Bloomington, MN Note: Teams may enter 1 or more events. You choose the dates that you like! Mizuno Series Events offer Age Divisions from 12s to 18s. Make checks payable to “M1 Volleyball” (*Jan Kickoff Date $95) Use this form to register your teams today! It is highly recommended that you register early. Jan-Mar events fill quickly! Indicate team name and age group above on preferred dates: i.e.- 181, 171 etc. Choose event dates that you like! Please Note: All entry fees are NON REFUNDABLE. Mizuno Series Tourns are sanctioned by the NCR USAV. All M1 Events begin at 8:00am and usually conclude by 4:00 pm with the Final Round. (Note: Jan 5th Kickoff 8am or 3pm Start) Doors will open at 7:30 am. There is a Mandatory Coaches Meeting at 7:35 am. Final schedules and any additional changes will be announced at the coaches meeting! We will not call any teams with schedules. Enclosed you will find the 2014 Mizuno M1 Tournament Schedule. Our same popular event series will bring your teams a professionally run event in the newly custom built M1 Volleyball Training Center in Bloomington, MN. You choose the events and dates that you like! Our tournament series helps you customize your season schedule! Over the past 24 years, we have hosted and competed in many different tournament and power league formats. The tournament structure we have developed for the M1 Series is flexible, exciting, competitive and a great opportunity for your teams to develop at a higher level. The playoff formats add a very important part to the training experience that local power leagues or half day events miss. All teams in the M1 series compete in playoffs on each date at the conclusion of pool play. Every match helps you advance to a higher round. (Note: Season Kickoff is Pool Play only, 2 waves) The 2014 M1 Series offers a number of dates for each age group between January and June. We have included a 12s Division again due to high demand and many requests. Contact us right away if you wish to add your 12s team. You may choose to play in any of the events. We will adjust the pools each date to give teams the optimal number of different opponents, and at the same time make sure that ability levels are seeded correctly. All teams will play pool play and advance to playoffs on each date. This allows each team to play a minimum of 4 matches and up to as many as 5 or 6 in some formats. In June of 2008, construction of the new M1 Volleyball Training Center broke ground in Bloomington, MN. The new M1 Center opened in September of 2008. The M1 Training Center is constructed with the new Sport Court Response 6.0 Flooring and a high performance rubber underlayment by Nike for soft court play. We also have the top of the line Senoh Net Systems on each court. Bleacher seating provides excellent viewing for parents/fans. Each court has large wall mounted electronic scoreboards and high ceiling clearance. The M1 Training Center is located 1 blk off of I-35W and 94th St W. in Bloomington. (1 block west of the Green Mill) 1701 W. 94th St #300, Bloomington, MN 55431 We are very excited about the upcoming 2014 season! We look forward to hearing from many of the great clubs throughout the North Country Region again this year. Teams should register soon by mail. Unfortunately, we are not able to hold any spots over the phone or email. Please send the enclosed form, or print one from the M1 website and mail to us soon. All Entries are non-refundable. All M1 Tournament Events are sanctioned by the NCR USAV. We will contact you immediately if your teams are not accepted. At that time we may move your team to another date if you wish. In the event that your team isn’t placed into an event, checks/refunds will be sent back. All tournament schedules will be posted each week by Wednesday at www.m1volleyball.com We will not call any teams with pool information. Please check our website each week for event information. If you have any questions, please call us anytime. Come join us at the 16th Annual Mizuno M1 Tournament Series events. All M1 Events will begin at 8:00 am and they usually end by approximately 3-4pm if you are in the Championship Match. Our doors will open each day at 7:30am and there will be a mandatory coaches meeting at 7:35am. Please arrive on time! M1 Pre Nationals: Held in June for teams going to USA or AAU or other National Tournaments. A good Practice event! M1 has arranged a SPECIAL Hotel Rate for our out of town guests at the Beautiful Bloomington Hotel (Best Western Plus) at Mall of America.
