Power Over Ethernet Kit
The Compex POE-100 Power Over Ethernet kit is a simple-to-use accessory for the
Compex WP11A+, Wireless Access Point. The POE-100 two part kit includes an Injector unit and an Extractor unit that allows a Cat 5 cable to function as an extension
of the power supply cord to the Access Point. By deploying the POE-100, it removes
the distance restriction of having the Access Point placed near the power supply. Ultimately, the Access Point can be used virtually anywhere. The POE-100 kit contains
two simple accessories essential for setting up outdoor or indoor wireless networks.

Cost-Effectiveness
The POE-100 is a cost-effective solution for
deploying the WP11A+ in an environment far
from a power source. It can also assist in the
setup of a Wireless network in an outdoor environment where power cables cannot be
safely used. In these situations, with the POE100 Kit, the Cat5 cable can function similar to
an extended power cable.
Easy Deployment
The POE-100 is suitable for deploying the
WP11A+ Wireless Access Point in outdoor
and indoor environments where a power
source is far from reach.

Easy Setup
The Injector and Extractor make up a complete pair with conveniently built-in
Ethernet connectors.
On one end, the RJ-45 cable built into the
Extractor connects directly to the WAN
port of the Access Port. Power is extracted
from the Cat5 cable and 5V of electricity is
supplied to the Access Point through the
power plug also built into the Extractor.
On the other end, the RJ-45 cable of the
Injector connects directly to a standard
switch on the network. Power is injected
from the power source to the Cat5 cable via
the Injector.
Flexibility
The POE-100 has the capability to support
both 10 and 100 Mbps networks.

of the Access Point.
