(VBP®) Series
Easily and securely connect video participants in
and outside the firewall and optimize for the best
collaboration experience
Polycom® RealPresence® Firewall Traversal and Security solutions remove
communication barriers and allow teams to collaborate more effectively over video.
Leveraging existing security investments, these solutions provide a trusted route for
external users into room and personal telepresence as well as into traditional video
conferences. RealPresence Firewall Traversal and Security solutions deliver businessgrade video quality through efficient services delivery, which identifies and prioritizes
business applications.
The Polycom VBP Series supports all standards-based telepresence solutions, video
conferencing endpoints and multipoint conference bridges. Using standards-based
firewall traversal, secure access is provided to users of Polycom® RealPresence®
Desktop, Polycom RealPresence® Mobile and and Polycom® HDX® Series
telepresence solutions without requiring a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
The Polycom VBP Series dramatically improves visual quality through unique
bandwidth management which identifies and accelerates video traffic in the shortest
path including prioritized video traffic management, traffic shaping, call admission
control, and DiffServ marking/policing. With availability for bandwidths from 1
Mbps to 200 Mbps, the Polycom VBP Series is also configurable for centralized or
decentralized dial plans, depending on IT requirements.

Remote Access: VBP ST Solutions 6400 and 5300
Polycom VBP ST solutions enable seamless, secure, collaboration experiences for
the virtual workforce. Easy to use and manage, the ST solutions provide access for
every remote user who needs to securely collaborate, as well as versatile networking
and security solutions that protect communication investments.

B2B Communications: VBP E Solutions 6400, 5300, 4555, and 200 E
Polycom VBP E solutions enable and enhance intra- and inter-office video
collaboration. VBP E solutions provide versatile networking and security that protect

The Polycom Video Border Proxy™ (VBP®) NAT/Firewall
traversal solutions supplant or integrate with existing firewalls
giving remote users a trusted route into room and personal
telepresence and traditional video conferences, as well as allow
organizations to collaborate securely with other organizations via
video. Quality is optimized by prioritizing video traffic over data
traffic, providing both shortest-path routing and traffic shaping.
