Equipment is consigned to us the day prior to the auction, so a list isn’t available until preview. We literally work all night before the auction setting up and unloading trucks arriving from all over the U.S. When do we bring our equipment to the auction site? Bring your coin-operated items on the day before the auction between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. local time. We’ll unload your equipment and check it in for you. We reserve the right to refuse entry into the auction of non-working redemption, vending, stripped games and non-coin op items. How many items will be sold in my area? You can expect to see anywhere from 200 to 1,000 or more pieces. Where does the equipment come from? Several nationwide firms, distributors, manufacturers, equipment operators, family amusement centers, leasing companies, banks and private individuals (example: suppose a major arcade has lost its lease and must vacate its building. We can have all the equipment picked up and delivered to our next auction. We offer fast service and ship items at low fees). How do I know if the equipment I buy at your auction works? We offer a preview and inspection from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on auction day. Here you can determine the quality and condition of all the equipment up for sale. In addition, we “power-up” the equipment once the auction begins so you’ll see it working while you’re bidding. How do I pay for my purchases? We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and cash only! We do not accept checks. How much does it cost to sell my items? We’re proud to offer the lowest rates in the country! Bring us 15 pieces or more and our commission is only 9.9%. Bring less than 15 pieces and pay only 13.9% commission (California only: 16.9% commission). Each item will be charged a $14 entry fee. Maximum commission on any single item is $100. Can I set a reserve or minimum price on my games? Absolutely! When you set a reserve (minimum) price on an item and the bidding doesn’t reach that price, that’s called a “Buy-Back.” You’re not charged any commission, only a “Buy-Back” fee of $14 per item (plus the $14 per item entry fee). A & Q ess c o r P ction The Au When does the equipment have to be removed? Once the auction has concluded you’ll have three hours to remove your purchases. If I buy just one item do I have to wait until the auction is over to remove it? No. Once you’ve successfully bid and paid for your purchase you may immediately check out. How can I arrange interstate trucking? If you’re considering volume purchases, call us. Our office can arrange freight forwarding anywhere in the U.S. at competitive rates. Will I have to pay sales tax? Unless you present a reseller’s permit that relates to the coin-op industry and is valid the day of the auction, we will collect sales tax on all purchases. I own equipment I want to sell at one of your auctions. How does that work? Please review Sellers information next column. When do I get paid? You’re paid the night of the auction, usually about 2 hours after the last piece of equipment is sold. If you can’t attend the auction, we’ll mail your check directly to you usually within 15 business days. Can I use the money I make from my sales toward purchases at the same auction? Yes. Many operators and dealers use the auction to trade in equipment for other equipment they find at the auction. You pay the difference if you buy more than you sell, or we pay you the difference if you sell more than you buy. Who are the buyers? Homeowners, collectors, operators, dealers, exporters and the general public. How is the auction promoted? We do everything possible to reach buyers for your used equipment, including full page advertising in Replay Magazine, Play Meter Magazine, Game Room Magazine, Coin-Op Trader, Coin Drop Magazine and all major newspaper classified sections in your market. We also advertise on the Internet and send direct-mail brochures to thousands of people in your state. We even have a full-time staff of telemarketers to get the word out for auctions in your area.
