7. Name: FEMA Firefighter Grant
Description: Once a junior firefighter at the Burlington fire station, you can apply to get this
grant with a few short questions and an essay. If you have any questions about scholarship

8. Name: Horatio Alger Scholarship
Amount: $6000-25000
Deadline: October 25th, 2018
Description: The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated
integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good
academic record, commitment to pursue a college education, and a desire to contribute to
society.
Requirements:
Financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income)
Minimum of 2.0 GPA
9. Name:Tradition of Caring Mortuary Science Scholarship

Amount:  $1,000
Description: Grant/aid is for a child, stepchild, grandchild or step-grandchild of a Northern
Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame member.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2.5 GPA, minimum ACT Score of 20, essay, list of honors and recognitions
2 letters of recommendation, list of KHSAA Activities, list of community involvement

11. Name: KSBA First Degree College Scholarship Program
Amount: $2500
Deadline: November 12th, 2018
Description:One male, one female senior, $2,500 each, good to any two-year, four-year
college or university, in state or out

school board.
Requirements:
High school senior intending on attending college, immediate family member has not earned a

Amount:  Up to $5,000 scholarship for national winner
Requirements: Senior who participates in at least one school sponsored sport, demonstrate
leadership in school/community, and have minimum 3.0 GPA
