Safety Information

Section 1 - Set Up
1.

Remove the battery isolator from the back of the remote. The red LED
will flash once.

2.

Press the button on the transmitter. The red LED should flash.

3.

If the LED does not flash when the button is pressed. Refer to section 9 for
instructions on battery replacement.

WARNING:Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party
responsible of compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The device is approved by the FCC and it complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Its operation is subject to the following two conditions:
1. This device may not cause harmful interference.
2. This device must accept any interference that may cause undesired operation.

Section 2 - Programming

NOTE: Refer to section 7 to learn how to set your receiver in Programming Mode. You may
follow the same instructions to program different buttons to different receivers.

NOTE: Use a sharp non-conductive object, like a pen or pencil, to press the learn button.

1.

Put the receiver in programming mode. Refer to section 7 for instructions.

2.

Press the Learn Button on the back of the remote. The red LED will be on for
15 seconds.

This product is guaranteed to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for
1 year from the date of purchase. If this product is defective, call 1-800-304-1187 for
repair or replacement parts. Guarantee does not include normal wear and tear or
batteries.

This package comes with one of the following remotes:
1 Button Remote, 2 Button Remote, 3 Button Remote.

3.

Press the button on the remote that you wish to program to the receiver within
15 seconds.

4.

The receiver will quit from the programming mode if the device has been
successfully programmed.

Section 4 - Dimming

Section 3 - Operation
1.

Press the programmed button on the remote once.

2.

The red LED will flash briefly indicating a signal has been transmitted to the
programmed receiver.

3.

The device should turn on or off.

NOTE: Light bulb connected to the receiver must be dimmable and compatible with
the receiver.

NOTE: To dim and brighten the light, the dimming mode has to be enabled.
On/Off Mode turns the light on/off and Dimming Mode turns the
light on/off or dims/brightens.

NOTE: If the light is not dimming, press and hold the button on the transmitter for
10 seconds until the light flashes twice to enable the Dimming Mode. To go back to On/Off Mode,
repeat the step until the light flashes once.

Turn on the light.

Press and hold the programmed button on the remote until the desired
dimming is reached.

3.

Release the button.

4.

Repeat step 2 to brighten the lights and then release the button again.

NOTE: Refer to section 8 for instructions on how to erase your receiver. Some receivers don’t
require the steps below.

1.

NOTE: After resetting, the unique remote ID will be changed.

Press the Learn button on the back of the remote.

NOTE: You must re-program the remote to all the receivers you programmed to before.

Plug-in Dimmer/with Repeater (PL/PR-318)

Wall Dimmer (WR-001)

1. Turn off the device/light.

1. Touch the metal touch plate on the Wall
Dimmer to turn the lights on. The two blue LEDs
should go off.

2. Press and hold the Learn button for 3 seconds.
The red LED will flash quickly.

Slide out the battery door.

3. Release the Learn button.

2.

Press and hold the Learn button on the back of the remote and slide the
battery door back into place.

1. Turn off the device/light.

2. Press and hold the Learn button for 3
seconds. The red LED will flash quickly.

1. Press the Switch Button on the Wall Switch to
turn the lights on. The two blue LEDs should
go off.

3. Release the Learn button.

Press and hold the button that you wish to erase.

3.

The red LED will be flashing. Do not release this button until step 5.

1. Power off the LS-318.

Put the receiver into programming mode. Refer to section 8 for instructions on
how to do this.

Release the button on the remote.

6.

All the devices programmed in that receiver have been successfully erased.

When the red LED flashes quickly, release the Learn button.

2. On the Screw-in Dimmer, slide into the desired
position (e.g On/Off).

4.

The red LED will then flash 3 times slowly.

3. Power on the LS-318.

1. Power off the On/Off/Dimming Control by
turning it off on your wall switch or at the circuit
breaker.

4. The red LED will blink according to the mode
you chose.

2. Power on the On/Off/Dimming Control.
It will beep.

Mini Screw-in Dimmer (LX-318)

3. It is now in programming mode and will stay
in this mode for 15 seconds.

it off on your wall switch or at the circuit breaker.
2. Power on the Mini Screw-in Dimmer.
It will beep.

Section 9 - Replacing the Battery

NOTE: Self-erasing receivers will erase all devices that are programmed to it. You must then
re-program the devices you want to keep.

NOTE: When the operating range is reduced or when the red LED is solid on during operation
it is time to replace the battery.

1. Unplug the PL/PR-318 from the AC electrical
outlet.

1. Power off the LS-318.

1. Power off the Mini Screw-in Dimmer on your
wall switch.

4. Release the Learn button.

2. On the Screw-in Dimmer, slide into the Timer
position.
3. Press and hold the Learn button.
4. While holding the Learn button, power on the
LS-318. The red LED will flash quickly.

Slide out the battery door.

2. Power on the Mini Screw-in Dimmer.
It will beep.
3. When it has been successfully erased it
will beep again.

5. Release the Learn button.

Wall Switch (WE-001)

1. Unplug the PA-318 receiver from the AC
electrical outlet.

1. Power off the Wall Dimmer by sliding the air gap
switch into the off position.

1. Press the Switch Button on the Wall Switch to
turn the lights on. The two blue LEDs should go
off. Do not release the button.

2. Press and hold the Learn button while plugging
it back in.

2. Press and hold the learn button and slide the air
gap switch back into the on position.

3. The red LED will be on first, then flash rapidly for
1 second and then on and off.

3. The blue LEDs will first turn on and then turn off.
4. Release the learn button.

NOTE: The remote is powered by a CR-2032 Lithium battery.

Erase by Remote

3. The red LED will be on first, then flash rapidly for
1 second and then on and off.

NOTE: If the receiver you wish to program isn’t listed here, please refer to the receiver’s
user manual for instructions.

3. It is now in programming mode and will stay
in this mode for 15 seconds.

The remote has now been reset.

side up.

Insert the battery door back in the remote.

1. Power off the On/Off/Dimming Control by
turning it off on your wall switch.

The red LED will be on for 1 second.

2. Power on the On/Off/Dimming Control.
It will beep.
3. When it has been successfully erased it
will beep again.

NOTE: Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly.
