1. Application Overview
Get Started
Before you can log in to Admin tool, your Subscription Administrator must grant you the
Tool Admin authorization. Your Subscription Administrator will then notify you of
your login information consisting of :
Username
The Username is in email address format for external users, and is not case- sensitive.
The Username is the same as GEID for internal users, and is case-sensitive.
Password
The Password is case-sensitive , and will be sent to external users via a separate Email
The Password is the same as GEID password for internal users, and is case-sensitive.
Login
Enter the URL for your admin tool
instance into your web browser. You will
be presented with the login screen.
Enter your username and password, select
Login.

2. Manage Projects
Tool admins have the authorization to manage all the existing projects, which includes: View,
Add, Edit, Delete
View Projects
2.1.1. Project List
The admin tool opens in Project Lists View by default. The list view can also be accessed
by clicking on the Manage Projects tab
Project Code The project code is created by system automatically, it is the primary key
and no duplicate values permitted. This is a mandatory field.
WBS Code The WBS code is a custom field. As with outline numbers, each level of a
custom WBS code represents an outline level in the task list. You can use a unique format for
each level of the code, and each level is listed in the code according to the hierarchy of tasks,
summary tasks, and subtasks.
Client The name of the client of a project.
Project Name The name of the project. This is a mandatory field.
Member Firm The PwC entity that a project subjection to.
Created The creation date of the projects. This is a mandatory field.
Status
Active: Current in-flight projects.
Closed: Projects that are not accessible by front-end users.
Deleted: Deleted projects, not visible from the screen. All the associated users, data,
project are deleted and not revocable.
Actions
Edit: Edit the properties of existing project.
Delete: Delete the selected existing project.

2.1.2. Project Search
Type in the key words in the search box, and press GO.
The methodology is a fuzzy search, and is not case-sensitive E.g.:
Type SPAN in the search box, system will list down all the records with SPAN in any of the
field.

2.2.1. Create New Projects
The project code generated by the system while creating a new project will be used in
application login page.
In the Create New Project screen, tool admin
need to type in the corresponding information.
Fields attached with a red asterisk are mandatory.

2.2.2. Create Users for a Project
Add/Edit Users function is to grant user access to
the new project.
Add External Users:
Select an Existing User Type the user’s name or
user’s Email address, and select one from the drop
down list.
Add New User Enter the user’s information,
choose the user role, and click Add user

Add Internal Users:
Select an Existing User Type the user’s name or
user’s Email address, and select one from the drop
down list.

Users. Enter the user’s GUID, choose the user
role, and click on Add user.
Edit Projects
Admin Tool support altering information for existing projects. The control icon locates at the
Action column as specified in below sample screen.

2.3.1. Edit Projects’ Basic Info
The Basic project info are presented in a pop up,
which allows admins to update the content within it.
Users attached to the project will receive an Email
notification for project related updates.
Cancel Cancel the current update and return to
Project Lists screen.
Continue Apply the updates which already made
in this screen, and shows a SUCCESSFUL message
after system saving, then auto redirects to the
Project Lists screen.
2.3.2. Edit Projects’ User Info
The icons for all the existing authorized users are
listed at the bottom of Edit Project.
User updation will NOT trigger Email notify.
Click on the user icon, there will be a pop up to
Update User.
User + to add a new user to this project. Details
please refer to 2.2.2 Create Users for a Project.

Basic Info Update: Basic user info is not editable.
All marked in gray.
Role reassign: User Role can be updated by
selecting a new role from the dropdown list.
Remove User: Tick the check box to remove user
from this project
Clicks on Submit Updates to apply the changes,
and return to the Edit Project Screen.
Delete Projects
Tool Admin can delete projects which are no longer in use. System will send an Email to
inform all the users in this project after deletion.
A pop-up screen will ask for a delete confirmation.
Cancel Cancel the deletion.
Continue Apply the deletion.
System redirects to Project List screen after the
delete confirmation, and a successful notice in a
pop-up.

3. Manage Users
Tool admins have the authorization to manage users, which includes: View, Add, Edit and
Delete.
View users
3.1.1. List Users
The List Users screen will be presented as the default page of Manage Users.
User Name Name of the user
Email Address Email address of the user
Project Assigned & Roles All the available projects are listed down here, with a format
of: Project Name1 (Role1), Project Name2 (Role2) ……
Date Added Creation Date of a the user
Actions
Edit: Update an existing user.
Delete: Delete an existing user.
3.1.2. Search User
Type in the key words in the search box, and press GO.

Create Users
Users can be added to the system first without assigning to any project.
Add External Users:
Type in all the mandatory fields, and click on Add
User.
A successful message showed at the top of current
screen if no error encountered, and screen
remains.
A project notify Email as well as an initial
password Email will be sent automatically.
Add Internal Users:
Tick the check box PwC Users, and enter GUID.
Only PwC users can be set as a Tool Admin. If Set
as Tool Admin got selected, current user will be
created as a tool admin.
After clicking Add User, a successful message
will be showed at the top of current screen if no
error encountered, and screen remains.
A project notify Email will be sent automatically.

3.3.1. Edit User Info
Update external user’s info:
Fields marked in gray (Email) cannot be changed.
There will be a pop-up asking for a confirmation
after pressing Submit updates.
A successful message will be showed at the top of
current screen if no error encountered, and screen
remains.
The cross in front of the project name will drop
the user & project connection.
Update internal user’s info:
Projects removal and tool admin authorization
grant are permitted for internal users.
A successful message will be showed at the top of
current screen if no error encountered, and screen
remains.

3.3.2. Reset Password
Only external users can retrieve their password by
ticking Reset Password.
A new password notification mail will be sent to
the address after Submit updates.

Two different entrances are designed for delete function.
One is from the User List screen, the other is from the Update User screen.

Pop-up the confirm screen.
Cancel: Quit delete
Continue: Apply deletion. If any project attached to
the user, the deletion will also affects the user list in
Manage Project screen.
