GL Thermal Printer
The new GL4e series is SATO’s most signicant release of printing technology to date. Versatility and
value are the cornerstones of the new GL4e series; only the GL4e series offers a eld-upgradeable UHF
RFID option; an industry-leading printer management utility; SATOnet CONNECT™ standard tri-port
communication protocols of RS232C serial, IEEE1284 high-speed parallel and USB 2.0 plus LAN and
802.11g Wireless LAN as options; an “automatic detection system” to conveniently switch between
203 dpi (GL408e) and 305 dpi (GL412e) print resolution; an Online Barcode Verier (OBV) option that
validates barcode scanability at point of print; competitive emulations and much more.
TXPSX Thermal Printer
The TXPSX models contain the features that make
them the best-seller in the horticultural market.
The rugged powder-coated industrial strength steel
case is designed for harsh environments, yet still
attractive for ofce or store settings. These printers
easily handle material thickness up to 24 mil at
speeds up to 10” per second. They are available
with 4” (203 dpi) or 5” (300 dpi) print heads with
10” tag width allowance. The TXPSX models
come standard with Parallel Port, Serial Port,
Ribbon Save Mode and a FETHER head (oating
edge type head revolution). USB and Ethernet
connectivity are available as options.

TECSX Thermal Printer
The TECSX models contain the same features as the TXPSX models however they handle up to 5” tag width.
This unit is ideal for tags, labels and signs up to 5” wide. Utilizing the End-To- End Slip-on tags, various pot tags,
pressure sensitive and signs makes this the most versatile printer for the money on the market. The TECSX
models come standard with Parallel Port, Serial Port, Ribbon Save Mode and a FETHER head (oating edge
type head revolution). USB and Ethernet connectivity are available as options.

Did You Know?
When selecting a thermal pot tag take into account the
environmental conditions and the length of time the tag will
be subjected to the environment. Styrene (SX & ZX) is best
used when the requirement is less than 6 months. Styrene is
impacted by UV exposure and cold temperatures more than
polypropylene which can last up to 1 year or longer in certain
conditions.

Floratherm (FT) 3.2 mil
Features:
The oratherm material is designed with
an aggressive adhesive and top coated
face stock that resists water and sunlight
while providing a superior thermal transfer
print surface. The labels can be applied to
smooth damp containers, ats and trays with
excellent results. Signs may be preprinted
with decorative borders and your company
name or logo. They can also be ood-coated
to create additional color options.

Did You Know?
There are many types of adhesives available for the creation of pressure sensitive
labels. Sato Labeling Solutions has selected an adhesive for the “Floratherm”
product line that will adhere and function in most horticultural environments and
situations. This adhesive is designed to function when the following conditions
are present: cold and hot temperatures, sunlight, wind and moisture. Sato does
recommend testing its “Floratherm” product on your particular container or tray to
make sure the adhesive is compatible with the type of plastic used to produce the
container. This test will require applying several labels to the container in several
different orientations and checking back in 24 hours. The bonding process should
be complete within 24 hours. If any concerns arise after checking the test, please
contact customer service or your Sato sales representative to discuss.
