authorised on our registration system & in possession
of a Banham Gold Key Card.
• We hold on record the number of keys that you have
copied for your added security.

The Banham Key Registration System
Banham has the most effective key registration
system, protected by Patents on all our new keys
& high security locks. Whilst others may purport
to offer such a system, Banham offers an exclusive,
totally reliable and foolproof system, on the basis
that our latest key section is protected by the law of
patent.

RECOMMENDATIONS
This guide gives you an overview of Banham’s comprehensive
product range.
Statistics prove that by taking quite simple, relatively inexpensive precautions you can deter
the would-be intruder(s), the majority of whom are opportunistic burglars. It is of course
necessary to take extra precautions to keep out the professional burglar but remember that
security buys you time, something the intruder does not have.
The list below will help you to decide what steps you need to take to protect your premises.
All Banham locks are insurance approved.
FRONT DOOR - should have a BS3621 Kitemarked 5, 6 or 7 lever mortice lock or cylinder
mortice lock together with a cylinder rim deadlock also to BS3621.
SIDE & BACK DOORS - t a 5, 6 or 7 lever BS3621 mortice lock together with top and
bottom security bolts.
WINDOWS - windows are most vulnerable to forced entry, especially at the rear of the
house. Fit window locks to all ground and upper oor windows where necessary particularly
where there is a at roof or drainpipe etc.
FRENCH WINDOWS & PATIO DOORS - t appropriate key-operated locks to the
top, bottom and centre (if necessary) of doors.
GARAGES & OUTBUILDING - can provide an easy access point to burglars or
contain valuable equipment. Make sure garage doors are secure with suitable locks or
that they are security shutters or secure garage doors installed.
INTRUDER ALARMS - the installation of a simple intruder alarm with the
deterrent value of a strategically located external siren cover bearing the Banham name,
with pulsing lights incorporated to provide clear indication of a live and fully functional
system. Designed and installed to be fully compliant with the ACPO policy, DD243 and
European Standard EN 50131-1:2006 / PD6662 for Intruder Alarm installations. Our
Alarm Receiving Centre provides 24-hour monitoring for all types of alarm systems.
The Keyholding & Alarm Response service is for domestic & commercial properties.
FIRE PROTECTION - minimise risk of injury and damage to property by installing
a re alarm, smoke detectors & re extinguishers.
CCTV - for an increased level of security to monitor your business or home.
DOOR ENTRY & ACCESS CONTROL - giving you the opportunity to see or talk to
visitors before allowing entry.

LB01 Letter Box Protector

The weakest spot in the door design, second only to the
lock and hinge area is the central core. It is obvious to say
that if the lock and hinge part of a door does not relent;
the brunt of most of an attack is focused on the central
area. Unless the door frame is forti ed there is a good
probability that the panel could split, and break open. A
simple way of reinforcing the door is a forti ed steel sheet
made of galvanised steel.

• These Collapsible gates give protection to windows and
doors. Manufactured using galvanised steel, with a stove
enamelled paint nish, tted with special Banham security
tracking and secured by high security Banham locks which

• Simple precautions can be very effective to avoid res starting. Minimising the risk of re breaking
out should be a priority for re safety and our trained surveyors can provide Fire Risk Assessments
for residential and commercial premises.
Detect
• The most dramatic reduction in re loss is achieved

utilization of accompanying Automatic Fire Detection. Fire
alarm systems are available in a variety of styles from small
conventional to multi-loop re alarm panels - Banham can

Routine Maintenance Inspections:
• Our eet of trained engineers can regularly check your system is in
good working order. With 2 optional inspection visits per annum, the
system is checked, all batteries & contacts replaced as necessary, free
of charge.
• Our Emergency Service Department is available 24 hrs/day with
attendance within 4 hours.
• Your alarm panel has Automatic Remote Maintenance (ARM)
software, which veri es that your entire system is fully functional
every minute of the day. Full reports on the status of your system
can be uploaded and checked instantly - this can be printed and
copied to you if required.

Monitoring Your Alarm with the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC):
Banham provides 24 hour monitoring for all types of alarm systems. You can choose your own level of
response:
• Fully Monitored system Keyholder with 24 hour Police Response.
• Keyholder Response only - for clients who do not require Police response but would like
the added security & peace of mind. The ARC will contact your nominated keyholders to advise
of an alarm activation of any kind.
