HiRoad Simple Challenge

Hi!
Welcome to the first step of the HiRoad interview process - the simple challenge. Success in the
simple challenge leads to the final two steps of the interview process:
1. Informal chat with someone from the analytics team
2. Full technical challenge
For the simple challenge use the ​Google Analytics Demo Account​, Master View.
Exercise:
1. Create one geolocation segment that combines traffic originating from either RI or NY.
2. Export January 2019 users and pageviews by day for the segment to a csv file.
3. Use Python to read the csv file and create the following two charts:
a. Pageviews by week for the segment
b. Pageviews/user by day for the segment
Requirements:
1. All code must be written in Python and must be in a Jupyter notebook
2. The first cell in the notebook must include your last name and the date
3. Charts must be embedded in the Jupyter Notebook
If you are spending more than an hour on this simple challenge because there are so many
things you want to demonstrate, you are spending too much time on it. If you are spending more
than an hour on it because you don’t know where to start, please be warned that the full
technical challenge will be considerably more difficult.
When you are finished, please download a copy of your notebook in the following three formats:
ipynb, html, pdf & make a screenshot of the segment you created. Email these files to
rachelle.valk@blueowl.xyz. In the email to Rachelle, please include a few one hour blocks of
time you have available for the next step of the interview process.

P.S. If you succeed in the first 2 steps and reach the full technical challenge, be prepared to
query APIs & a SQL database to import data, manipulate data, and build some dashboards.
