Deadline Anchor DLA 70-1-5/8” Cameron’s deadline anchor is used to tie down the drill line and measure the load suspended from the top drive, i.e. hook load. The wire drum attached to the anchor is designed to rotate during a slip-and-cut procedure. The reliability of Cameron’s deadline anchor is important to a vessel’s operational safety. Engineered and manufactured to meet the demands and rigors of tough offshore installations, the deadline anchor complies with all relevant standards, reduces wear on the deadline, and facilitates safe drilling line procedures. Main Features Safety Features • Designed for ease of service and maintenance • Dual strain gauge in load cell • Drum design enables easy slip-and-cut • Handy service pocket • A djustable wire outlet direction allows for both floor and derrick leg mounting • R otatable drum to minimize wear and tear during slip-and-cut Technical Specifications SI Imperial (US) Drill line dimension 41 mm 1-5/8” Maximum line pull 70 tonnes 77 tons Drum diameter 761 mm 30” Weight 1380 kg 3043 lb -20° C to 40° C -4° F to 104° F Design temperature (minimum/maximum) 5 (first layer of wire is supported by a machined groove in drum to prevent wire from being flattened) Number of turns on drum Drum rotation for slip-and-cut Yes (no brake) Sensing principle Compression Sensor type Electronic load cell, dual strain gauge (4-20 ma) API 8C (specification for drilling and production hoisting - PSL 2) DNV OS E-101 drilling plant Design approvals Hazardous area Suitable for ATEX Zone 1 Scope of Supply Options Deadline anchor steel structure Foundation bolts Load cell Wire entrance guide Wire clamp Interface junction box 4601 Westway Park Blvd. Houston, TX 77041 USA Tel 1 713 939 2211 © 2013 Cameron | 09/13 AD00391DRL Andøyfaret 3 N-4623 Kristiansand S.
