Installation​ ​Guide​ ​and​ ​User​ ​Manual

Installation​ ​and​ ​Setup:
1. Ensure​ ​that​ ​the​ ​latest​ ​stable​ ​version​ ​of​ ​node.js​ ​is​ ​installed​ ​on​ ​the​ ​working​ ​machine​ ​(the
current​ ​version​ ​is​ ​v9.2.0​ ​at​ ​the​ ​time​ ​of​ ​writing).
a. Note:​ ​Older​ ​versions​ ​of​ ​node.js​ ​may​ ​work.
2. Retrieve​ ​the​ ​GitHub​ ​‘master’​ ​branch​ ​repository​ ​by​ ​either:
(1) Ensuring​ ​Git​ ​is​ ​installed​ ​on​ ​the​ ​working​ ​machine​ ​and​ ​cloning​ ​the​ ​‘master’
branch​ ​repository​ ​using​ ​the​ ​following​ ​on​ ​a​ ​terminal​ ​or​ ​command​ ​prompt:
git​ ​clone​ ​https://github.com/tilevi/Rootify.git
(2) Downloading​ ​the​ ​‘master’​ ​branch​ ​repository​ ​directly​ ​on​ ​the​ ​GitHub
repository​ ​site​ ​for​ ​Rootify
3. Change​ ​directory​ ​into​ ​the​ ​new​ ​‘Rootify’​ ​directory​ ​through​ ​a​ ​terminal​ ​window​ ​or​ ​command
prompt
4. Type:
node​ ​app.js
5. Open​ ​your​ ​web​ ​browser​ ​(either​ ​Chrome​ ​or​ ​Firefox)​ ​and​ ​navigate​ ​to​ ​the​ ​following​ ​URL:
http://localhost:8888
