SUMMARY
We developed this monochrome TASKalfa multifunctional series to answer the needs of busy and demanding oces. The ease of use
and the outstanding reliability of these devices are due to their renowned long-life components. This makes each of them a valuable
oce tool to accompany your business routine day in, day out.
Apart from printing at up to pages per minute, these devices
will also copy, scan in colour and optionally fax. You can access
all these functions easily from the large touch panel on the
device. There are several paper handling and nishing options
you can add to your MFP to suit your personal needs. These
include various paper cassettes oering a paper capacity of up
to , sheets, a document processor for one-path duplex
scanning and two extra nishers – one for stapling and
punching and another one with a capacity of up to , pages.
To reduce your environmental footprint, we have developed a
unique technology that makes this new TASKalfa series
considerably more energy-ecient. All the parts assembled in
our MFPs have been designed to provide productive, high-quali-
ty monochrome document output whilst keeping the downtime
to an absolute minimum.

You can access all the functions oered by these devices
via a new large colour touch panel. It now has a
customisable home screen and a “swipe” functionality
that makes it most easy to nd the right settings.

Black-and-white printing isn’t just black and white. You will certainly notice the dierence when looking at documents produced by
one of our TASKalfa i/i multifunctionals. Their innovative image processing engine with the equivalent of a , x dpi
resolution generates sharp contrasts and ensures that all your documents are of outstanding clarity and gradation.
HIGH-CONTRAST PRINTS
DAY IN, DAY OUT.
These MFPs are equipped with an advanced scanning tech-
nology achieving up to / ipm thanks to the optional one-
path duplex scanning processor that scans your double-sided
documents in a single step.
All the scanning options such as colour or b/w scanning can
be accessed directly from the control panel of the MFP. You can
also select whether the scanned le should be sent to a server,
to an email address or to a USB device; you can also choose be-
tween various saving formats including PDF, JPEG, TIFF and XPS.
A very convenient feature you may add to your MFP is the ability
to turn scanned documents into text les: this will save you
from a lot of tedious retyping when you have to edit a hard copy
of a document.

ECONOMY ENVIRONMENT USABILITY
The need for an ecient data protection system has never
been greater than it is today. To protect against even the most
determined data attacks, these new KYOCERA TASKalfa devices
come equipped with IPsec and PDF encryption as standard. If
you need even more ecient security options, you may choose
between three dierent security kits: the Data Security Kit, the
Document Guard Kit and the Card Authentication function.
The rst eectively deletes and overwrites all the data stored
on the hard disk during the printing, copying or scanning pro-
cess. The second prevents any documents embedded with the
print guard pattern from being copied, scanned or faxed. The
third prevents unauthorised access of the data as all users need
to identify themselves with their card to unlock the device.
HyPAS™, KYOCERA’s open soware development platform,
allows you to integrate the device into your existing business
workflow. You can easily set it up from the control panel of the
device, tting it perfectly into your oce environment when
using ordinary business applications like Document Manage-
ment Systems or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

You may, for instance, increase the paper capacity of your multifunctional to , sheets with supplementary paper cassettes.
With the according nisher, you can give your device the ability to staple and punch your documents, and boost its handling
capacity to , sheets. Moreover, the document processors automatically scan your double-sided documents either in one
path or by automatically reversing them. And don’t worry if your needs change over time: these handling options can be added
as you need them and are compatible with most TASKalfa devices.

you can supplement it with a nishing unit corresponding
to your needs:
